Everything about it when I had it, and now the fact that I got as much as I did for it and it greatly helped in getting the Charger. Still miss it sometimes though.

im sure the new '08's will be a challenge, they are advertised at 200hp but they look WAYYYYY bulkier so im sure alot of that added power is lost to the weight and gearing... still its not remotely even thats why i am also confused on the the civic i raced, we had a few runs so its not like i got him off guard.

also the advertised power im sure is after the v-tech kicks in with the peak not lasting very long then dropping sharply. the R/T's have WAY better low end tourqe and some good power at the high-end still thanks to the secondaries/cam/gearing, but im sure that isnt the whole story... but is a good chunk of it.. still tho man i shouldnt have came out on top

simple, buy a manifold, a 01 cam from DCX, a head from these forums, pre-painted lip kit from DCX, a differential from a junkyard, and a few misc tranny pieces from DCX, take the motor and tranny out, swap the head and rebuild that tranny yourself put back in and voilah a '05 R/T...... minus the ABS, nice interior, sunroof, suspention, and cool rearview mirror, but im glad i dont have the interior because my old '01 had leather and i HATED it, burned my ass constantly and to maintain it was a pain by itself. i rather not have a sunroof, and i can care less about a compass in my mirror. i do wish i had the ABS tho. i like that it has the nice chrome accents on the front bumper instead of the back ones the R/T's had, i think it adds a nice touch considering the rims and interior are also black and chrome. as for teh suspention i rather get a vogtland or the set thats in my Jetta which i cant remember the name right now, but is an awesome set

Hey if you're talking about beating a Civic SI in "Who can put bigger rims" then I honestly have no idea.

If you're talking about beating them in a straight line, as in using the engine with the car on kinda shit. Then

Either way it's not worth getting all chingon over

It's relatively cheap to maintain and cheap on gas.

I'm cheap. :tardbang:

So you have an 05 SXT with some R/T parts. Just like when someone puts an SRT turbo on a normal SXT, its just a SXT with an SRT turbo, not an SRT4

You don't have the 9.8:1 compression and the complete R/T package.

the higher compression was in all neons 00-02 in 03+ the compression was lowered including the R/T and ACR models... i dont want the R/T interior because i dont want the added hassle of leather. im not going to spend 3hrs on just cleaning and conditioning the interior like i had to in my 01

thats why i chose to get an SXT and do the exterior swap otherwise i would haved swapped the interior from my 01 also

i rather do it this way too because i get the R/T benefits without the downside of paying more on insurance. but just so you can sleep snugly at night because for some reason its worth you getting your panties all in a bunch and put me on blast ill change it back to SXT that way also the universe dosent collapse onto itself too

and adionik if you read my posts i stated that i was just as confused that i did beat him as the others were. the problem i have is when people say i straight up lied about it and it didnt happen or its impossible, being called a liar is worth getting all chingon over cabron.

Wrong! The Magnum motors still had 9.8:1 compression ratio in 03/04.

The R/T had a leather option, not standard. My 03 R/T had a cloth interior.

ok then no biggie ill just buy the pistions in a few days, i know somewhere i saw that even the R/T's were affected by the compression change that took place in '03 which i was unaware of untill a few months ago.

my only experience with the R/T's was in 01 when i was heavily looking into the differences between the old DOHC R/T and the new SOHC. from what i saw back then ALL R/T's came with leather as it was part of an "R/T Package" and my dad didnt want me to have a manual for some reason so i had to settle and ordered a ES that had the R/T package. a cloth R/T must be few and far between because ive never seen one that had it when i was looking arround in '05

Every R/T I have seen that was 03-05 (almost all were blaze red that I saw) had cloth interior. I've never seen one with leather. Though I know it was an option

I love my neon because I put my heart and soul into designing it and creating what you all see today. Yes, personally. I love driving it, after 101,000 miles it STILL knocks me back in the seat under high boost. The car is a lot of fun all around, and I can still get 32mpg on the highway staying out of boost. I love it and wouldn't trade it for the world, except I'd buy another neon as a daily. I love it for way too many reasons, and I probably love it way too much.

I love my Neon because after all these years (8 and counting) I still get the very same feeling inside as I did the very first time I ever saw her. Who says you can't fall in love at first sight. It's happened to me twice (25 years & 8 years ago)....... And I can tell you from first hand experience that it can and will last a LIFETIME!
