carbon fiber "colored" hoods
I saw somewhere on the internet that they had hoods that were "colored" carbon fiber and matched the factory colors. Does anybody know where that was? I'd sure like that link! Thanks!

u get teh from http://www.revolution-motorsports.com/photo4.htm there.. thast the link.. they are pretty expensive though...
hmmmmm

Expensive? Where have you been looking at hoods...Ebay? Revolution hoods are some of the more affordable pieces on the market. If you want expensive, look at Carbon By Design or Kaminari hoods. I've got a CBD hood on the way right now. After owning one of the more "affordable" hoods (@$500) for two plus years, I'm not going to spare any expense for a new one.2003silverneonsxt wrote:u get teh from http://www.revolution-motorsports.com/photo4.htm there.. thast the link.. they are pretty expensive though...
Remember, you get what you pay for.

Are you getting their new "Viper Inspired" hood?

I thought that drawing was a little too sharp.. but i liked the concept... if they would soften some of the edges.. but the clay version, just doesn't look right... hopefully it looks better in CF, but after seeing pics of the clay one, i lost my interest in buying one

Agreed... I've been though my share of hoods, 2 RD hoods, one JSP aka XR8 and now my Kaminari... the RD hoods fog, the JSP is good quality but the edges aren't rolled or covered, the Kaminari is fackin great. If you get a cheap hood, don't expect it to stay looking very good.

I really like the Viper hood, but $855 shipped is just a little bit too much for a daily driven car. If I had a hardcore show car, then sure. My daily beater is getting treated to a CBD OEM hood and that's more than enough for me. The only reason I can afford that one is because insurance is paying for it.
