Continuation of the Stealth! (worked on the trunk today)

Do you have a project going or will you be starting a project here very soon and just want to keep a log of everything you and when? Share with everyone every step of the way what sort of progress you are making on your project.

Should I add the Fibrglass fenders SXXT used to have on his car?

So I have no issues deciding what to do preformance wise. its the exterior and the interior that I have never realy built up before. So please throw out your idea's!!!!!!!

No rice and want to keep it clean.

Other than the wire tuck and cleaning up that engine bay, that car kicks ass as it stands. Just give it some eyelids.

There is three idea's I'm tossing around.

A bunch of carbon accent parts.

Raidiator shroud
fuel door
pillers
fuse box
license plate
door inserts
AC surround

Black cuda strips so that they would barely be noticeable

And paint the bottom half of the interior black then the top half a dark gray.

Also found some guys on E-bay that are making billet covers for the different fluid tanks in the engine bay.

-Eyelids
-Avoid CF like the plague personally. I hate CF on black though... never quite looks right

-Post up shots of the interior for more opnions

-Wash the hell out of it

im gonna have to say dont do the carbon fiber, to me carbon fiber and black are to close of a color to put on a car. if your car was any other color i would say yea tho it on but carbon fiber is kinda a dual black or lighter black and its like haveing a blue car with a light blue hood. its just too close on my opinion. also i would do what they said chrome everything under the hood and keep the out side nice and clean. i would probably thro some eyelids on there and some bigger wheels.

I agree with Opi and SXXT, stay away from the CF, keep it painted the way it is. It looks so badass how could you not?

Billet Technologies makes caps. They have a website and are the same people on ebay (I believe) that are selling cap covers.

I have never been a big fan of chrome stuff. I do plan on doing some chrome stuff but thats too much.

I like the place that LILspark recommended. Some of there stuff I Can't use but a lot of it I can. Going to buy the 13 piece kit and use most of it.

I will listen to the more seasoned peeps about the carbon. I think I have how I'm going to do the engine preety much down and think I know what to do for the interior. But some good idea's might change my mind. Usually someone will give me an idea and that idea will give me a different one with aspects of their Idea.

Is that a 1GN Panther Pink neon in the background?
Thanks for the interior pics, the headrests look like one of my future projects, and the front seats look very similar to the SRT concept cars material....

I took that pic of Chris's cardomain so not sure.

I have my list of the engine items formulated:

First:
http://www.revelenterprises.com/pt_crui ... _parts.htm

From that site I will use the following:
oil dip stick
Image
power steering cap
Image
wiper fluid cover
Image
strut covers and bolt covers
Image
Timmming belt cover (I have an idea on how I can trim it to make it work)

master cylinder and clutch caps
Image
Radiator cap
Image
ac line covers
Image
Next
http://jmbperformance.com/store/index.p ... 21_125_123

From there I will get:
Injector heat shied
Image
Trans cover
Image
radiator brackets
Image
radiator hard pipe kit (yes I know its for an SRT but It can be made to work)
Image
Battery kit:
Image
and catch can:
Image

There is two items that I still can't find that I want to add:
SRT style injector cover without the lettering.
Full stainless radiator shroud. (Krack has a carbon one so might just get that.)

What you guys think of that list? Should I do a polished or brushed finish on everything. I was thinking a few parts should be blue like the valve cover to give it some color. Which ones??????? Or is the Valve cover enough?

Image

There Illusion Audio IM6's Lucent series.

I then got two sets of these:

Image

There basically the same as what Adire and dyna audio sell in there top of the line components.

And two sets of these:

Image

A/D/S X/overs.

I will be doing a set in the doors and a set in the kick's.

I will be using an A/D/S amp to power them. If anyone knows what this stuff is then they will know that its worthy of going in the car.

If some of you are wondering I'm still in Iraq so I'm buying all the parts and unfortunitly they won't go on tell I get back.

But spent some more money.

Got some parts from Roach:
SRT Front brakes
Gazz overflow bottle
JMB Catch can
Injen Short Ram intake
Turbo heat shield

The shield is polished and going to strip the catch can and polish it , paint the Gazz blue to match the Valve cover, and polish the injen.

I'm not done yet:

Alpine CDX9887
A/D/S R12'S two of them.

Looking at some polished dogbone mounts as well.

Are you positive all of those pieces from Revel will fit? I have a few pieces from Revel and the only ones that fit perfectly are the Washer fluid cap cover, coolant cap (cause I modified it) and the Oil dipstick cover. The dipstick cover on a neon is circular, and not flat so that cover won't work for you.

The timing belt cover I don't see how that will work either, its on my engine but the cruiser and the SRT share a similar timing belt cover, its very similar in shape, which is how I got mine to work. I also believe that your power steering fluid resivoir is totally different than that one as well. And when I checked on the strut tower covers, they weren't the exact same size as mine and wouldn't have fit properly though the bolt covers would have. These are just FYIs so you don't buy things that don't fit properly.

Not to mention that the heatshield for the spark plug wires will come into contact with the hose coming out of the back of your valve cover on the passenger side. With the way the neon intake goes, be sure that the trans cover fits first also. A JMB part that will fit is the fuse box cover, the radiator brackets, etc.

I do think they are nice choices/options but if they don't fit right then what is the sense?

I do realize that the Dipstick is a different shape. If you look at your dipstick there is a way to remove the handle. But I found a place that does a full replacement handle so will go with that instead. Worst case the 2.4 dipstick will work in a 2.0 it’s just longer so I would just trim the end to make it the same length and of course add the notches to read the amount of oil. I won't be using the coolant cap cause I won't be using a stock coolant bottle.

I am aware that I will probably have to do some trimming on the timing belt cover. My plan was to cut it down the middle cut it so that when matted back together it would be the right width to cover the SOHC cover. I will use either chrome door guards on the edges to give it a cleaner look when matted back together or just some black rubber edging. I was concerned about the cap for the struts not working so that’s good info to know thanks! Guess I will have to get some pillow ball mounts. :) I wasn’t expecting to be able to use the Power steering cover just the cover for the cap.

I might have to cut a small notch to clear the hose for the sparkplug cover, I was already thinking of that. I will not be using a stock intake manifold so it clearing the transcover should not be an issue. I have an AMM short runner manifold. I scored a chrome Injen fuse box cover! :). I will deffanitly be using some of the radiator brackets.

Agreed, and thanks for the info. I will take any help I can get. Your car is one of my favorite show cars I have seen. There isn't many I like so any advice you can give me would be much appreciated!

I have a few parts to add to the list:
Sneak peek at the new trunk:
Image

Image

I did snatch up the dogbone mounts as well.

I also have Automoter utra-light pyrometer, oil pressure, fuel pressure, and boost gauges sitting at my brothers house waiting to go on. I'm debating whether to spend the 350 and get the wideband as well. .

I scored some light gray upper door panels that I will match to the lower agate ones to make a two tone door panel and maybe use the same gray center counsel. I have an idea for how I want to do the dash got to see if I can use my mad paint skills and give you guys an example it will be rough though, paint sucks but it’s all I got out here.

Widebands are totally necessary on boosted applications IMO. The Innovate LC-1 is one of the most accurate out there. If I could have afforded it thats what I would have purchased but the AEM UEGO fell in my lap for a cheap price so I couldn't pass it up.

Trunk looks to be coming along nicely so far. I just mentioned that other stuff to you because I wasn't sure you were aware. I think you should look into JMB's fuse box cover (maybe polished with blue underneath) as its a nice piece. I'm planning on ordering it myself as soon as I can get back on my feet and working.

Oh and thanks for the compliments :) Are you going to put eyelids on the car? I think the shorties would look badass.

My debate isn't wether to get one or not its should I spend the extra to get the Autometer one. Otherwise I will grab an AEM

I sall the Fuse box cover and didn't realy like it plus it has the SRT logo in it. No issues with the comments. just means your looking out. I will never be upset about that. :)

It has been done in a neon before, but they took it off because there was no gain. It was a longgggg time ago I saw it on neons.org.
