I'd start a project log...but there's nothing to log yet...and it will be a while before I can. I spent all my money on the car =(

Hopefully I can get something around Christmas.

We'll likely sell the neon once my wife stops working so we can pay down the srt. We're hoping to have it paid off by next summer.

I've been looking at alot of REALLY nice Neons on here. The mods that ya'll do are incredible.

But, for me a plain stock SRT-4, would make my day. Only mod needed....Vent Visors

Yeah, coilovers are the ideal way to go, but you could always just pick up a set of springs for a lot cheaper.

When you do start modding, you going for aesthetics or power?

Unfortunately, there is a lot of money to be spent in both areas....so I am finding out

Nice, clean, stock looking black SRT covered in snow. Poor little car. :( I see you still have stock wheels, I'm assuming stock tires to. Be careful out there with those.

And Adionik is right....lots and lots to spend....and too many decisions to make!

when I do suspension, I'll do coilovers so I can adujst.

Right now I have "stock" size and style tires, but they're Les Schwab brand (they were on the car when I got them). They didn't do too bad. I'm used to driving up to the mountains to go snowboarding so I know how to drive in the snow. I've found that 30% of it is the car (i.e. traction, fwd/rwd/awd), but 70% is the driver knowing how to drive what he/she has in different weather conditions. I had the car totally desnowed so we could drive to my in-laws for Christmas. It was an hour and a half away and I got to drive the srt in "adverse" weather conditions for the first time. It's been snowing more and it's almost just as covered now as it was before. I'm gonna take another pic tomorrow. This has been one of the weirdest snows for around here (20 minutes east of downtown Seattle). The whole Puget Sound area has been getting dumped on.

Wow....no offense bud, but if I had that car there's just no way I would allow it to see snow, let alone drive it in "adverse" conditions..... I mean if you have an es just rock that for now and toss some extra loot into the srt4 that way once its nice out again it'll be like a new car all over again (I.e. Coilovers, wheels, ect...)

But then again that's just my opinion
2000 Neon, no power options, but it has a moonroof! Coil overs, 16" wheels, exhaust, bunch of goodies coming soon!

we got rid of the ES before something else crapped out on it. I already spent more than I wanted to fixing stupid things on it like seized up calipers, radiator, a/c, etc. The SRT is the only car right now. I have no garage or carport to keep it in. Besides, I got the car to drive it. I understand making it a 3 season car but it's not me. To each his own. However, I do hope to get a Subaru Forester as a second vehicle at some point; just gotta wait for the finances.
