well i just had my PPIamp crap out on me... so i need to get a new amp...
i had it mounted to the rear seat like alot of ppl do, and im wondering if this could cuase a problem w/ heat damaging the internals since its on a downward angle like that... (granted the amp is old, and it was prob just its time to go)...
can you mount it to the sub box itself without any problems from vibrations and such?....
also, im pickin up a new pioneer deck, and pioneer is known for their decks, but what about pioneer amps, good/bad? i can get a good deal on a mono350rms 2ohm stable to push my 350rms DVC 10 sub....
what kind and where to mount amp... on sub box?

all the wiring is already ran clean to the trunk. so its just easier to leave it there... also i have cathodes under the seats... so would make it a mess...
just wondered if it would be better for the amp to mount it to the rear seat again.. or mount it to the top of the box so the heat will go straight up and out of the amp.. instead of up and through... and if the vibrations from the sub hitting, would damage the amp, or shorten its life..

If you get a good amp, you shouldn't have any problems. My JL amps are going on 5+ years of hard abuse and still just as good as the day they were purchased. The 300/4 is mounted on the seat which is the hotter of the two (class AB rather than D). The 500/1 amp is mounted on a back board braced against the sub box and rear deck. When the seat is sitting up, both amps are right next to each other. Yes, they get hot, but they can take the abuse.
