Keep or sell off the eyelids?

Post by Mr Josh Zombie » Fri Aug 01, 2008 11:01 am

I created a poll about these long ago, but the paint was shit and the headlights were stock. Things have changed, Lilsparkplug painted the eyelids for me (thanks a TON for it by the way :D) and I've had my headlights color matched.

Well, now with them on the car, I'm not 100% if I should keep them or not :? I'm EXTREMELY on the fence... some angles I look at the car, and I love them. Others, I hate them.

If I keep them, I have to take them to a body shop finally and get them fixed. :( There's a crack in the lip of the paint and it's already chipping... I don't know what caused it, but it REALLY makes me want to just toss them for all the hassle these things are causing me... Maybe I can set up a donation fund to get them fixed :D (no seriously :P)

I say keep them, it gets rid of that 'I have massive headlights' problem. Now you need a set of 6000K hid's in there, and some night time pictures...

Looks like the car is finally at home! I see so many other Ohio plates...

I like the way they look on the car. But where is there a crack? I didn't see one when I had them. That small lip was flimsy though and I couldn't sand it anymore than I did. I still think that kid really screwed you on your initial price.

.. well, I'm not a fan of the blacked out tails or the eyelids..

there isn't any gaudy body kit, neon lights, stickers, ugly rims, or any of that kind of stuff..

The Mox code states Functional, Clean, and Simple. and well your car follows pretty close.

Posted them up for sale asking a hefty amount.

If someone bites, they're gone and Crystalmarie will get a fraction of it for her troubles.

If not, then they're getting taken to a body shop and fixed. I'll find someone who's more competent with fiberglass to make me another set some day.

I can see why you go either way with them...
but my final conclusion would be to keep them.
They are different, plus they make heads turn...and from the angle in the first picture it makes your car look sharp..

Eyelids suck, sell them. Your car looks so clean without them.

They don't look as good as the ones on the NSRT-4's. :P I am actually thinking about taking mine off, but they do serve a purpose and help my HID's look better.

I say keep them. They are unique and really don't stand out and look stupid.

KEEP THEM! They look badass. Don't listen to anyone about taking them off.

You need new rims though...the entire car is black and the rims are throwing it off!

Wait who said they'd donate
I'd like to take you up on that....

Well, I have grown to love these things quite a bit. Only bad thing is, I've already spent around $160 JUST for a fucking set of eyelids, so it's really hard to justify spending any more money to get them sent off to a body shop. *sigh*

They're still up for sale with a couple of people showing a small interest. If anyone ever buys them, they come off... if not, they go to a shop to get fixed.... as much as I hate to spend any more money on an appearance mod.

I say keep em. You already put a lot into them just to go and get rid of em.
