$700 is crazy for a jammer. But on the stop light issue, In Maryland I did have a friend who used a regular remote to change certain stop lights in the city. It took him some time to find the programming but it is possible.

FWIW, I would never buy anything I am betting my license on off of eBay. I would much rather buy from a reputable dealer, online or in person.

Only exception is a V1, they are only sold manufacturer-direct. The ones sold as new on eBay are usually grey-market ones and do not get the same warranty and such as direct-to-you units.

Yes the Blinder setup is worth the money, and yes I hope to be buying one, as well as a V1. In the world of countermeasures, you have to pay to play. I am doing a road rally in May, hopefully in a new (to me) SRT-4.

Not all ebay sellers are selling crap, or are shady. Summit Racing, and MPX sell on ebay, so by your logic, we shouldn't buy from them either.

I'd buy from Summit any day of the week regardless of it's from the shop in person, on the phone, online or from their eBay account.

Common sense would tell you that buying from any 'reputable' dealer on eBay is different than 'jdmpartswholesale' or whoever. You wouldn't buy a turbo from some no-name eBay vendor, would you?

There was once a problem with an eBay vendor selling grey-market Valentine 1 units. V1 sells to US customers direct. A lot of people got screwed when it came to send it in for updates or warranties.

As I said in my previous post, if you are placing your license in the hands of an electronic "gadget", why would you risk it?

Countermeasures are not for everybody. While a radar detector is always a useful thing to have, not everyone sees value in an expensive jammer. But for those who require them, they are pretty much worth their weight in gold.

I suggest you guys go check out some Gumball 3000 or similar videos. Hell, go read Alex Roy's articles on how he outfits his cars.

Haha, that's great. I know you can get them here in MI, but even if I were allowed to, I couldn't pose as a veteran like that.

Thank you for your service, but that's a pretty shitty setup.

I hate when people use their status to get out of stuff. They feel it's their right to get away with stuff.

ah are you takin a shot at me? becuase that's kinda lame i got the vet plate becuase i'm proud of the fact that i served my country not to get outta tickets, if the fact that cops cut me some slack when they pull me over that's a bonus as far as i'm concered since alot of cops have also served. so i'll thank you to keep your opinion to yourself and not be a douche bag...........

What I'm saying is that someone shouldn't expect preferencial treatment because of their status.

If the cop gives you a break then that is his call.

Well, if you want to get technical, it's that thing that controls the foot, that a lot of drivers lack.

You know what else gets you out of speeding tickets? Those Sheriff stickers, wait for em to come to your doorstep asking for donations, or even advise them you have a donation to pickup. Denomination does not matter. They should give you 2 stickers after that, lace them bad boys somewhere on your ride and you got a friend in a COPPER.
