belt tensioner

was wondering if these were common to break on a neon. Mine just went at 60000

Are you speaking of the accessory belt or timing belt tensioner? Both are known to fail early, so yeah it's pretty common. It's a pain to replace either one.

I just did both this weekend. Mine hadn't broken yet, but since I was doing the TB & WP anyway, it just made sense.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

mine ps tensioner went at 80000
