They have the filter on the wrong end and for some reason, everyone always attachs the short tube that goes on after the throttle body.

I hope you got all the rubber couplers....mine was missing one.

I would get a different filter as soon as possible....the one that came with my CAI fell apart two weeks later.

its on the correct side.. just pictured at a weird

you'll need 3 couplers and 7 clamps, from the looks of the link you get 2 couplers and 4 clamps..

2 clamps per coupler, and 1 clamp for filter

you can use the clamps from the rubber accordian like tube, so now you just need 1 clamp and 1 coupler.

IT'S NOT PICTURED RIGHT.....b/c you do not connect the mass air flow sensor and breather tube or w/e in the fender.....the filter is on the wrong side....looking at it now..it's right...just filter on the wrong side

Easy to Install. Professional Install is highly recommanded.
That is an oxymoron in my book.

put the filter where the blue coupler is.. and put the small tube from the intake mani to the throttle body..

 Yeah, I noticed that.

I'm going to be missing clamps and a silicon adapter?? That would definitely not make me happy. :?

Neonix has that CAI as well. When I went to install it for her we were short 1 coupler and 1 hose clamp.

well hit me up if u need any help or have questions...I installed mine last year and had everything i needed. The only thing u are going to have to watch out for is the "foghorn" sound which all u have to do is bend the battery tie-down a little so it won't rub and u should be problem free.

Trust me, the foghorn noise is becaues of the pipe touching the hole those goes into the fender...Some people will say different. ALso, there is a large possibility that the filter itself will be pushing up against the plastic fender guard, but mine has done it and have had no problems.

Thanks for the tips! I can't wait for this damn thing to get here. :) Other than the possible foghorn noise, what kind of noise change will there be under the hood? Some people say that they get more of a whoosh or whistling sound when they install it. :) That'd be awesome.

honestly u are going ot hear a nice rumble fron the intake and also u will get a pretty sweet sounding whistle when u rev it and while u are at certain throttle postions. Kinda sounds like a baby turbo spooling if u hold it at the right throttle position. Depending on if u have exhaust yet or not will determine how loud of a groan u will be able to hear. My exhaust drowns out the sound of my intake, but not the whistling. If u don't have exhaust then it will kinda sound like u do with the intake. U will definately like the sound of your motor i promise...

Awesome! I don't have an exhaust installed yet - I've still been trying to figure out which way to go with an exhaust system. I'm looking forward to hearing the difference since I probably won't feel all that much. :)

I felt a small difference from about 2800rpm thru around 35-4000rpm...you should feel it a bit more because u have a MTX and i have ATX.

Nope. :( Not yet... I haven't even heard anything from the seller yet... No tracking or anything. Tried to e-mail him last night - Nothing, yet. Bastard better mail me my shit and fast. :)

I dunno, who knows? Could come today. A couple other items I bought last week arrived already and I didn't get any "Your product has shipped" e-mails, either.

I'll just sit here and wait... Still. :)

My intake just arrived.

BUT... The box says it fits 01-02 Neon w/o ABS. Is this going to fit my '03 w/o ABS? Please any quick replies would be great, I'd like to get it on tonight before work if this will, in fact, fit.

Yayyyy! All done! And it fits damn near perfect. I had to bend the bracket that goes to the battery tray a bit, but it fit fine. The hardest part was getting the stock air box crap out and getting the silicon couplers all aligned right. :) My girlfriend was a huge help as well. :D Small hands... I still think all these aftermarket parts should come with a small chinese guy to fit into the tight spaces.

I was only missing one hose clamp, and I reused the one that was on the accordian tube like someone had mentioned. I'll try to get some engine pics tomorrow afternoon after I get the car cleaned up.

Edit: Oh yeah... It sounds awesome! Love the whistle and the deep groan when you floor it.

what did i tell ya huh??

I bet it sounds awesome with the stock exhaust huh? Man i'm thinking of finding someone with an R/T muffler for sale so i can quiet down my exhaust a little more so i can enjoy my intake a bit more.
