To those with a hydraulic clutch

Post by soul_sword34 » Fri Aug 22, 2008 5:21 am

Stupid question. I'm trying to determine if the 2000 cable clutch pedals will work with a hydraulic clutch setup. I know the cable clutch works by pulling the cable when the pedal is pressed. In this pic, from an '04 FSM it shows the pin below the pivot point. So I'm finding that the cable pedals won't work as it seems the hydro pedals are made to push this plunger in. Am I correct? I need a hydro Brake/Clutch setup?

Hmmm...had an idea. Not sure where the hydro actuator sticks through the firewall but couldn't yah cut the attaching ball point off of the 2000 cable clutch pedal drill a hole below the fulcrum, drill a hole into the back of the cut off ball point and bolt it lower. That way a cable clutch pedal won't have to be swapped and in turn will push in the actuator. Hmmm...relocate the MC????
