hankook ventus

Post by Skinny_tires » Fri Aug 22, 2008 7:26 pm

just put the hankook ventus hr2's on my stock 5 spokes(04 neon) i put 205/50/15..dont look bad either..they actually have less bulge than the cheap 185/65 i had on to begin with...Definately need to lower the car now..

Dont know how they handle yet..had the kids with me so i wasnt able to push it..they feel responsive enough in easy driving, but we shall see tonight..

i had them mounted and balanced for 313...not sure if thats a deal, but thats what i payed..and they gave me free soda and had the car done in 20 minutes. all done at america tire..

313$ is waaaaaay expensive.

I paid $20 a tire to have my Dunlops mounted and balanced.

unless you're talking about tires+mounting+Balance=313

then those tires are cheap as hell.

im definately gonna have to drop the car now...the tires grip to the point where the tires turn but its throwing the weight of the car..i actually got the tires to squeel because of this..if the car was lower and i could get rid of the body roll some, then i really think these would be some good tires.

I still havent really tested them..we have a road here we call 13 corners...its an uphill run thats 45-55mph corners... thats the speed i do the corners with, with no drop or performance tires..so im really anxious to see how i do with the new tires...average speed up this hill is 30-35...

my b-day is monday..i just won 300 bucks at a casino..im thinkin i might buy some megan springs..not too many reviews on this site for them..so i think ill try em..

I had these a while back...pretty good tires, and they lasted forever. good prices too!

i actually dont much like em..they grip alright, but they are noisy in the corners..not noisy like you dont have confidence in them, they just squeal too much for me...i need a wider tire though..i can still break traction at 50-55 in a corner...i need something that just grips harder
