I did a search here and found nothing. Which means no one on here has one. So I am one of few if there are any out there that have one. I yanked this out of a 98 Chevy Blazer
Only mounted up there. Still have to make and cut some parts in the headliner to get it to be flush all the way back. And I got the wires and sensor for the temp/compass. So I have the lights hooked up now. But I want to replace all the map lights and dome light with superflux LEDS. Should look really cool and be alot brighter and draw less power. So far I am VERY happy with it. Extremely useful. Didn't pay too much for it all either. Only 40 for the whole console and all the wiring/sensors I need to make everything work. And I need to paint the "grey" black. And I also want to put a 5-6 in TV in the second compartment. Would work perfectly! On with the pics!

You should get a disco ball hanging fromt here, or maybe a strobe light.

Thanks guys. I am very happy with it. Still gunna mod it out some. But the usefulness of this thing is amazing. Sunglasses holder, digital thermometer and compass, cd holder(going to house my tv), and 4 movable map lights and one huge dome light which I can put many lights in for many different colors at my will.
Install wasn't too bad. Just took a little creativity. I will do a little write up tomorrow and take pics the next time I take it down to wire it up all the way.

Blazers did actually come with a "short" console. Basically something like this just much shorter to accommodate the sunroof. How well it will work in a neon I don't know. But just letting you know.

Thanks guys. Really appriciate it. This actually wasn't too hard. But the hard part is on the way. Tryin to get pieces cut up and places in to make it fit perfectly flush. Wiring the temp gauge/compass should be easy though now that I have the plug for it.

That tan is aqually fabric. The headliner fabric. So that would be more difficult. I could glass it I suppose. For now it will just be painted black. And I will continue working on other projects. ...the 823943728 I have going on hahah.
But thanks for the tip dude.

And the really shitty part is that I JUST SOLD my Blazer a few months ago... I could have easily taken the roof console from it beforehand...

I'm pretty sure GM used the same console in the silverado and sierra pickups too. I know my 01 silverado I used to have had a very similar console.

WAY Cool.
Please keep us posted and Thanks !
I BET a lot of local junkyards are going to be running out of overhead consoles from Jimmys and S-10's soon .....
The WORST part of the whole thing, is having to go into the CHEVY section at the junkyard to get the overhead console !!
The Horror.

Just so everyone knows the fitment isn't perfect. There are def gaps between the roof and the console. And you can't see them in the pics. I don't want people buying these then bitchin at me cuz it isn't a perfect fit. As it most definitely isn't. Honestly the pics make it look alot better fitting then it is. But quite frankly the gaps don't bother me. But I love a challenge so I am going to fill them in anyway.

Could you trim the console a bit to fix those gaps, or are they huge?

It isn't the consol that needs trimming really. I guess you could do it like that. But the contour is just a little off. I will take pics tonight to give you guys a better idea of what I am talking about.

Sorry, but the coolest overhead console of all time belongs to Dodge...
That would take some work. But they do make a shorter version. Hmmmm....
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I already have a tv on the way for that back compartment. I won't have one in front of it like that one though. And I will indeed have glow in it. So mine will be sorta like that. Just hand made. Which imo is much more fun. And plus that one would probably be hard to find for 40 bucks in a jy lol
