how do I seperate the tranny from motor?

Questions about axles, transmissions, differentials, pretty much anything that connects the engine to the wheels, this is the place for those questions.

how do I seperate the tranny from motor?

Post by crowd00control » Thu Aug 28, 2008 5:56 am

just wondering, I found a clutch replacement how to but don't know how to seperate the transmission from the motor.

-where are the bolts located
-what tools are needed?
-how many people required?

just a few questions that pop into my head at 5am in the morning.

Get a hanes manual. that will help with almost any work you might need to do to your neon. but if you crawl around under you hood and car you can see all the bolts holding the tranny to the block. off the top of my head there are 10 or 12 boltz including the brackets holding the tranny to the block.
