Well, in 3 days gas went up another 10 cents to 2.699!
Oh, well, 3.00 a gallon is right around the corner. Time to dig deeper in the pockets.

2.49 reg. here in louisiana...considering we are a pretty big oil industrial place i'm surprised they are at this price. We usually are the lowest...though so far from your prices it looks like we are close.
I read also that the prices will not drop below 2 bucks through the rest of the year. We'll see whats to come in the next month or so. I usually just fill up and then worry about it later, but damn i'm only getting 200-220 mpt at 9.8-10.2 gal per fillup....and that's if i baby the pedal. If i drive hard i get about 187 per tank.
Not too happy about that right now, that's why i try not to pay attention, just swipe my card, fill, and leave. Don't even bother to look at the receipt

From what I heard on the news today, it will get worse before it gets better. They say prices will continue to go up for about another month. Then they should fall a bit. I think it will go a little over 3.00, then drop back to about 2.20-2.50 for the winter, then go back up over 3.00 next summer. Thats my prediction.

I think you're right. I bet they're trying to condition us to accept prices above $2/gal when prices fall.moparknighthawk wrote:From what I heard on the news today, it will get worse before it gets better. Crude Oil prices droped over 3 bucks a barrel... This is just a bubble in the market that the media is blowing way out of perportion...
Gas is already on the way back down here. Expect to see a 10 to 20 cent drop in the next week or so as long as curd oil futures keep falling like they are...

$2.66 for 87
$2.91 for 93
This is in Western New York.....
I'm glad my magnum gets an average of 30-35mpg.....
Last week I went 295miles on 8.6gallons....
Averaged 3500-4k shift points...and peaked at 80mph just to pass someone...other than that no romping on it the past week since gas prices keep climbing daily.
FYI - My motor has 700miles on it hence the high gas mileage(tight motor)
The indian reservation around here charges 2.50 a gallon for premium..

post resurection:
Last Friday Sept 2nd it was as high as $4.10 for 87. And gas stations are running out of fuel here in WNY and don't expect shipments for atleast a week.
Monday sept 6th gas prices leveled off....
$3.50 for 87
$3.90 for 91
Friday when I heard it was at $3.10 at 3pm, I took a break and ran to the gas station. In a 15min span it jumped up to $3.50 for 87. When I left work friday, in 11/2 hrs it peaked at $4.10 for cheap 87. This SUCKS!!

its down to 2.99 for 87 as of yesterday here..
someone told me at work, ppl were price gouging up to 5-6$ and up in some places in florida to try and deter people from buyin all the gas.. last year during the hurricanes we had here, they made it illegal to price gouge.. they should really make that a nationwide thing since everyone is affected from this years disaster......
