Part Number Request: Front air dam

Post by 03neonse03 » Fri Aug 29, 2008 5:07 pm

I'm not sure if this is in the correct category but I need the plastic (black) piece that connects to the bottom of the front bumper to protect the intercooler (04 SRT-4). It's at the top of the picture circled in red, thanks!

I believe you are looking for the airdam. Screws to the bottom of the bumper to the core support, yes?

If so...part #5303594AB...MSRP $33.35

And I moved you to the exterior section

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I'm good like that

The front uses screws to attach it (Chrysler doesn't sell them :tardbang: ). They also don't list the plastic retainers. Are they the quarter sized head christmas tree type retainers? If so, use part #6030441...MSRP $2.95 each

i believe they are like the ones that hold the bumper in place (top by radiator) which i believe are like the "christmas tree" ones. My airdam managed to scrape its way off the car somehow on the highway so i think i still have the screws but not the plastic ones.

I would go with the 6030441 retainers. Every dealer in the world should carry them since Chrysler has used them on almost every car they make since '82 or so

Oh, I think I removed this from my car and never put it back. What does it do exactly?

There is actually two pieces there. The upper piece goes from the bumper to the core support. That keeps the bumper from flapping around. The other part is the actual air-dam. That is supposed to direct air up towards the radiator area. Most people leave that off since it gets caught on everything imaginable.

I was giving the part # for the bumper to core support part.
