the one on the silver is the SRT-Design bumper. the yellow one is the original SRT4 concept drawing. The only place i seen that specific bumper, is the "Missconception" bumper on howell automotive's website. The differance is the SRT-D doesnt have the same lower lip of the original concept.
so to answer your question, no year, it never actually made it into production by Mopar.
This is the one on howell's site: http://www.howellautomotive.com/index.a ... ProdID=323

wrong.
I have seen it driven on the street. There's someone with a grey one near where I use to live. It was badged an SXT, and has the SRT rear wing. Otherwise looks and sounds stock. I'm not sure if they've done anything to it, but i know there were options some years to offer an "srt styling package" or something along those lines.

actually he is right...
The title of the topic is 'what year SRT4 front end is this' and since he wanted to know about this being an SRT. Matt was right in saying that it never made it into production since these 2 pics are not of SRTs
Yes, however, this did come out as a package offered by Dodge known as the SRT-D package. In witch the original SRT styling was offered but the motor was not that of an SRT.

I know more about neons and srt's, their history, how to work on them, diagnostics, maintainance, performance, etc, than you know in you're whole body.
Still not convinced? take a closer look at the two pictures. Notice the silver car's bumper is smooth at the bottom and rounds in under the car. Now look at the yellow one. see how it has the same flat style lip of the production SRT4 bumper? there's your differance between them.

I agree that you were right and that I haven't been able to find it anywhere except from a dealer or howell. It also was confirmed later that it was offered as a SRT-design package (in 2005); however, you stated that "it never made it into production" which is what I was disagreeing with you about. It was produced... at the factory... at one point in time... even if only on a few limited neons.NiteHawk wrote:the one on the silver is the SRT-Design bumper. the yellow one is the original SRT4 concept drawing. how's that for splitting hairs?
lol, you didnt read my post very carefully huh...
I said the bumper on the YELLOW car never made it into production by Mopar. Note i wasnt talking about the SRTD, which i had already stated was a mopar item. I assumed it was common knowledge that the D was already spoken for.

Howell Miss Conception = SRT-4 minus nostrils
SRT-D = SRT-4 minus nostrils AND lower lip
now that it's been said 20 times over, we can all take it as fact!
