Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

paint mirrors?

Post by supertrick_05 » Fri Aug 12, 2005 5:17 pm

Has anybody painted their mirrors and was successful on getting the paint to stick? All the body shops I've talked to said that they can paint them body color, but it will be kinda hard to make the paint stick to the plastic.

Body shop paitned mine about a year ago and I haven't had any problems with the paint not sticking. They sanded them down and used a thicker primer so they also no longer have the orange peel texture.

Painted Side Mirrors $85 w/o core and $190 with core ($115 refunded upon receiving mirrors to replace)
Shouldn't that be the other way around? $125 for eyelids? I can't even get myself to pay $55 for unpainted eyelids.
