When you're first beginning (and not using a helmet) it feels like that. Goes away after a while.

Yeah, i would assume a helmet would probably dampen the sensation a bit. Didnt you say you ride to austin every now and again?

Yep...got family in Budda and a lot of friends in UT. I will probably cage it up sometime before this year. Don't get on the bike if you're not going to wear a helmet. You can get away with not wearing a jacket or gloves, but one hit in the head is all you need to die

Severe road rash is not a picnic either. I'm certain it is fun blasting around in shorts, short-sleeves, sandals and no gloves when it is hot out, but each time I see that I cringe... one little incident can leave a lot of skin on the asphalt.

Deffinetely. I almost got a heatstroke last month at a stop light in full gear. But this guy sounds like he's not wearing anything...so at the very least he should have a helmet

Heat stroke in gear?
Get a mesh jacket... that's no excuse to not wear gear.

Nice... sorry to preach... I've just lost too many friends to bike accidents.
I rode a bike ONCE with no helmet and I felt like a tard afterwards. =/
Tinted visors for the win..
I really want a brand new ninja 250r..

Nice looks... peppy enough to have fun on but not kill myself... and 70+ mpg...and only 3000 new.
Wife says no

no helmet at Carlisle wasn't too bad. It was something I had to do while I had the opportunity. It makes you focus even more on the roads and your surroundings, knowing what the result of some gravel will be. I also don't wear a helmet at the track in the paddock, too much of a pain in the ass to put it on and take it off every time you go to tech or around to the carousel to check out another group of riders and such.
LOL jeans, a leather race jacket and gloves and no helmet at Carlisle was hilarious.
Definitely gets annoying on the highway with the wind ripping past your ears tho, and I got windburn on my forehead LOL.

What do you have?
I'm probably going to order my vented leather right now...there goes $350
08 250r after taxes is about 4k...

'02 yzf600r with stage 2 jets and cams, d&d slip-on, -2 rear sprocket. I'd like to get rid of it and get an '05 r6.

Yes, that is what a bike mesh jacket looks like... definitely looks like you could skid down the highway with minimal road rash in that one eh!
lol

Sad
He's doing $250 a month for 60 months. That bike is soooooo freaking gorgeous and hauls ass. Aside from not having a gear indicator it's pure sex. Way better than the GSXR 750 IMO
