obd-2 readiness

Hey, guys. My car has no check engine lights, the battery has not been disconnected in probably 1000 miles and I can't get the computer to achieve readiness.

Anyone else have this problem. I haven't had a check engine light in a while.

I'm assuminig you're trying to get it ready for e-check. One would think a thousand miles would do it. Try driving it as many different ways as you can think of. If there aren't any parameters that haven't been set or met, it won't be e-check friendly. Some times it can be a pain. This is just their way of discouraging "clearing" any codes that may not reappear right away before an e-check. Gotta love big brother!

Yeah I know, damn bureaucrats! Next month is my b-day so it's gettin' down to crunch time!

I have a cat and everything, and almost positive it's eco-friendly (at least according to the clean air campaign).

Guess I'll do some cold starts until the fan comes on and a few dozen highway miles in fouth gear.

Sometime I think it takes the highway parametes so long because of the 03+ .72 5th gear. I mean at 70mph I'm at like 2300-2600? Not alot of output there.
