well, you're going to the dealer. You will pay more; however, those parts will be brand new. GOOD CHOICE!

go back about 3 pages and find TiNK's atx to mtx thread. there is a link to the .org that has all the parts and tools needed for the swap. there are also instructions on how to do it.

I recently swapped to a 04 R/T trans myself...here you go:

Shifter Assembly
Shift Cables
Shifter Pedals
Master Cylinder
Slave Cylinder
Computer
Passenger Axle
Trans mount
Transmission
Clutch
Bushings
Clips (read below)

4269830 - at the trani - $2.70msrp each 2 needed
6501326 - at the shifter - $1.85msrp each 2 needed

You will also need a slave cylinder bracket, the whole swap will come to a standstill without it. I do not have the part number handy. it was like $25, it looks kinda like a horse shoe. It requires 2 bolts as well.

I just bought a used mtx sxt computer and flashed it at the dealer. It will be a lot cheaper than buying a new one and will save you around $400.

Be aware you are going to have the following ssues if you don't swap over wiring harnesses:

My speedo didnt work and I couldnt go past 4000k rpms until I got things rewired at the computer even with the computer flashed because of the different plugs from the atx. I paid $500 get that done, but it is possible and the car runs fine now. Also the reverse light switch plug is different so you will have to splice one in from an mtx if you want your reverse lights to function.

Your gonna LOVE it. World of a difference.

wow you got ripped off if u paid that much for a computer. When i did my swap i got mine off ebay with vin flashed and shipped for 250. and it has 1 year warranty. And it is possible to have a atx ecu and limit over 4000, i did it.

I paid around 200 to get a mtx computer and to have it flashed. The 500 was for all the rewiring to get my speedo working again and prevent my car from bucking like a wild horse in high rpms.

The swap will work without swapping the computer. Bluesxt05 and myself swapped his without the computer at first. It ran for a couple months until he decided just to swap it anyways.
