How long have your batteries last?
As the title states! My car was made in October of 03 and I am still rockin the factory battery! I believe they last 3-5 years. Stock Audio system, no electronic gizmos.

I've gone through 3 mopar batteries (that i know of). The previous owner of my car was the dealer! never again will i "rock" the mopar battery.
The lightweight hawker dry cell i've got now is a year and a half old which is twice as long as my last mopar battery. hope it doesn't die now... (knocks on wood).

My battery is OEM. The car was built August 03 and it sat on the lot until I bought it February 04. The car has 83000 miles on it. I had a couple 12's powered by a 500w amp for a while. Have an UDP on it that has been on since March 07 I believe.
So my battery is 4.5 years old with 83,000 miles. Its working well, but I am considering replacing it soon. It doesn't have to get me to work everyday so I may just wait until it dies on me.
Hmm, I should do that just to see how long it goes.

My '97 DD still has the battery that was in it when I bought the car in '04, and the guy told me then that it was 2yrs old. So...that's going on 7yrs - not bad, I guess.
My '01 Cherokee just got a new battery in April - it had the original Mopar in it

damn, that sucks. my dad bought one of those Advance batteries less than a year ago and ended up putting a starter in the van when it didn't need it. It turned out to be a defective battery... He charged it and it was in a normal voltage range, but the amperage actually went down.excon wrote:...Nope![]()
My 10lb dry cell battery died shortly after that post. The knocking on wood didn't help. I'm "rocking" one from advance since it has a 3 year guarantee on it, and i'm DONE with going through batteries.

My original battery went in 2.5 years, but I think my asshole dealership had something to do with that. I brought my car in to have the transmission replaced under warranty and they gave it back to me with a completely dead battery that wouldn't hold a charge. I've got 4 years on my DieHard and it's been fine.

4 years is a decent run for a battery.

The voltage was fine on mine. I went out one day and click click click.
The long intervals of sitting probably sped up the death of my battery. If it was driven every day it probably would still be in there.

Same for mine with the okay voltage and the sudden "click, click, click." I think that the time the car spent sitting outside in Iowa before I bought it (August 2005 to May 2006) didn't help the battery life.racer12306 wrote:The voltage was fine on mine. I went out one day and click click click.
