I like people who BUY a 10 sec car and then brag about it. Thats like hiring someone to bang your wife and then bragging about the kid

I always have mine on no matter where I go. Especially since I've been in a couple of accidents, that's the first thing that goes on when I get in the car.

Put it on all the time...I notice myself putting it on to move it as well. When I used to drive a pickup for the Highway department I never wore one when I was driving since I had to stop and get out on the side of the road every 50 feet. I probably should have used it anyway...getting rearened on the side of a highway would not be fun at all - especially without a seatbelt.

ALL the time.
Picture flying out the window and sliding along the pavement several hundred feet. As you are sliding you see cars whizzing past and find yourself saying very quietly to yourself "oh God...this is going to be bad.
You finally stop and are conscious, you look around to find yourself still on the highway with cars stopped (thankfully) all around. You check yourself out and figure you can stand up. Someone tells you to stay down... then the pain sets in. Along with other injuries you have serious road rash to the point of no skin left on some areas... nothing but muscle embedded with road dirt.
Ah, not so cool now to have been rollin' without seat belts only a couple of minutes ago.

I do the same thing. Car doesn't move an inch till every one is buckled up.LilSparkPlug wrote:If anyone gets in my car and won't put their seatbelt on, I won't move the car until they do. If they still don't want to....they can GTFO.

All the time. I don't even put my keys in the ignition untill my seat belt is on. A certain sequence of events happen when I get in my car. Open door, get in, close door, put on seat belt, keys in ignition, check mirrors, start car. Done.

State law and I'd rather die because of the seatbelt than flying out of the car. Probably quicker with the seatbelt, OFF WITH THEIR HEADS.
Also, if you do get in an accident regardless of the sevarity. Force them to replace the seatbelts that were being used. They are a one time deal, they served their purpose and its time for new ones.

Anybody have an extra driver's side seat belt on their hands? Mine has been through an accident and a mishap.

You know, Id say it'd probably be safe to replace your belts every 3-5 years like we do with drag cars. They will only be nice and strong for 2 years but after that they start to weaken. I would say a street cars belts dont last that long since most are used everyday.

I used not wear one but $55 a ticket gets pretty expensive after a while. I have been in 4 accidents 2 with seatbelts 2 without, the 2 with seatbelts I had to go to the hospital each time, fractured collar bone, and dislocated shoulder. 2 without I walked away from. I am all for seat belt usage, but I find it hypocritical that the gov't has the same people saying abortion is OK but you better wear your selt belt or else. Personally I think that helmet and seat belt laws for adults should be repealed, that is one way to control pollution of the gene pool.
