^^Why :ban: ? No such thing as too much Neon scenery. :D But what is the story on your driver's side skirt? It looks like it is two different colors as it runs from the front fender to the B-pillar... or am I seeing things?

hahaha!! :thefinger: :tardbang:

I drove this thing to lots of other states for sporting Events. In total it has been driven to 6 states, and I used to drive 3 hours on the interstate behind TONS of Semi traffic. The rock chips were just bound to happen.

I have a stock SRT FMIC installed right now...

For this:

I am going to be doing it this winter as my winter project. Once she comes out in the spring... NO one will know what hit them.

"was that a neon?" "All I saw was some dumb :censored: red blur..."

I had it mocked up in the first picture, but I am doing small things till I find a good chunk of time off to do this.

The gauges, BTW, all work except the oil pressure (simply because I don't have the T installed yet....).

I'm a prick and I know it.... but why the hell would you do a photoshoot and not wash your car? Ok... a quick pic or two of new stuff... got ya. But 11tybillion pictures of a mediocre dirty car? Really..... Sheesh.

I'm an attention whore and I don't post that many pictures.

If it had some wheels and lowered it'd look great. Nice pics though.

Haha, I HAD washed it the night before, but it also rained and got REALLY dirty. I live practically pay check to paycheck and spend what I can on my car... when I can.

I know she is dirty, I know the car doesn't have anything really special about it physical features wise, I know that it's a neon. But, who says you can't take an 11tybillion pictures of your pride and joy?

Plus, I had fun with a lot of those driving shots...

It's not you being a jerk... it's all true. It's a moderately upgraded (physical features wise) neon.

Under the hood is a slightly different story... but it's a photo shoot.

I like criticism, and I enjoy it, so keep the good and the bad coming.

(plus, for rims I have been searching for a great 5 spoke wheel set for the longest time that I like... and have YET to find a single one that looks great imho.)

The project SHOULD be done within the next month. Every weekend I am working on a small project. For example this weekend I am replacing the fuel pump. The weekend after that I am moving the coolant box. The weekend after I plan to grab a stainless steel braided hose for my oil line and an AN fitting for my oil return.

After that... it's going to install time. Most minor things aside, all I will primarily be doing is tuning fuel with the RRFPR I have.

Pictures are all on my cardomain (for anybody who really cares) along with a full project "blog".

Enjoy.

Hopefully this will get done soon... having these parts in my closet is killing me!!!

You know, a lot of people tell me 3 things:

1.) get clear corner lenses
2.) remove the side moldings
3.) new wheels

I like the orange markers a bit more. I think it looks much cleaner than clear markers (on flame red anyways). Plus it looks less flashy.

The side moldings, imho, add a little bit to the exterior lines of the car. I have debated taking them off... it is REALLY easy. However, it just was never a look that took off on me.

I have been looking for a very nice set of 5 spoke rims. 16" for a bigger wheel, wider tire, and not too big to be too heavy or hurt my acceleration (I Autocross, so it's all factors). All I want is:

- Simple 5 Spoke Design
- Silver/Black with metallic lip
- 16x7

but... *sigh* nothing I have seen on tirerack.com, edgeracing.com, and others just don't seem to appeal to me.

Wheel sites are much appreciated in a PM though.

You don't care for the Rota Slipstreams? Light wheel, simple 5 spoke design.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I do, and I want them for pure race use. I am looking for a simple design for everyday driving.

Car looks good! Nice and simple. Picking out wheels is one of the most difficult things to do for a car IMO. I agree with you on the clear corner lenses, I think they look great on silver and white cars, and some black but other colors not so much. :) Can't wait to see the project unfold and finished ;)

Thanks.

Something about white corners on a red car just never did anything for me.

The turbo project goes well. I am finishing up some minor install stuff and possibly relocating my engine coolant reservoir. We will see.

That is all a different thread though.

I might get more pictures. I got her all cleaned up and damn she looks good.
