well, i use a mac so it's different... but the concept is the same

set up port forwarding in your router, download remote mangement software on both computers, set up username/password, log in with home computers IP address.

some google searches will bring up a more in-depth faq

If you have windows, it should have Remote Desktop built in, so you dont have to download anything, just set it up, and go.

I remote into our server here at work all the time, and that's exactly what I had to do.

I just plug my iPod into the work computer for music, and run the programs I want.

My boss isn't tech savvy and I'm the "net guy" here, so nobody questions what I have open... unless it's blatant it's 2gn or myspace or something.

and Trillian lets me keep my screens at 10% visibility, so I can hardly see what's going on, let alone someone not sitting right in front of my computer!
