We are putting an offer in on a house tonight. We had a little bidding war going on between us, another buyer and the seller. But in the end we were told by the selling agent if we offered $XXX we would get it, so that is what we are offering.
We finally have a house of our own WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
I'll get pics up at some point.

No garage. I have a masterful scheme for a nice size shed though. I need a place to store lawn equipment, etc so why not make it double size and then build a workbench on one end. Little ventfree propane heater, lights, etc.
Luxury shed
I got a call from my realtor, and they officially accepted the offer.

actually first plans are to get rid of the existing shed, its nasty.
my dads garage, which is fully equipped with a lift, mill, lathe, mig & tig welders, sheet metal brake, grinders, power tools, etc, etc, etc, is only 25 min away.

OK... then the first order of business is to pack him up, and move his old ass out.
Then take his house, and move him into yours!

Plumb it for a laundry sink. You'll be glad that you did (my last house had one in the garage- never had any greasy fingerprints in the house). Oh, late congrats from me!

He already said, to get rid of the old shed and put up a Real one....
A house without a funtioning garage of some kind, is like a man without a d!ck...... useless.

Congrats on the house! It will be an exciting time.
I dunno... but the news I'm hearing up here in Canada about the mortgage crisis down there leaves the impression it is very hard to get a mortgage now what with lenders going under and others having been severely affected.
Man... looks like there might be room for a 1 1/2 or perhaps 2 car garage there... for me that would be a priority over the honey-do list.

I'm working on a pretty elaborate plan for a shed. I'm not as concerned about the garage, as I am this. I work with two guys who used to be electricians so they are going to guide me. I have to save up some cash and I hope I'll be able to build this come next fall.
I'm thinking 12x20 shed, with electric, insulation, heat, a work bench, etc, etc, etc. Something I can have some fun in and not take up the house with hobbies.
