Its good oil, but not worth the money in my opinion.
It would be good to search too, this has been brought up a fair amount of times

no, Mobil 1 is not the best. It is just as good as all the others. In the realm of "over the counter" synthetics, it is just as good I wouldn't call it better

I've used Royal Purple. It's neat, mostly because of the color and you can drop the name. Some people actually think it's better because you pay more.
I stick with Mobile 1, though. It's relatively inexpensive, and you can find it anywhere. Also, you can buy it by the gallon at most automotive stores. I've not seen that with Royal Purple, which seems to be only carried by specialty shops and the sort. Preferably I'd use AMSoil, but that shit is about as rare as a hot 23 year-old virgin, and about as expensive.

AMSOIL isn't rare, you can order it from www.amsoil.com 24/7. Not sure on the current pricing, it is a little pricey though. But AMSOIL is best used in extended drain situations.
Better than gallons are the 5qt'rs from walmart, Mobil, Pennzoil, Valvoline, Castrol, etc all available in 5qts

As mentioned before and numerous times here...
Run a search in 2GN there are various topics on what oils are "Best"
I'm currently running Amsoil 0-40 in my R/T and at the 3000mile point BlackStoneLabs stated my oil was in the condition of like new and I was good to run another 3000miles on the same oil.
I switched to Amsoil from Moibl1 and I noticed a difference in overall performance and fuel economy using it

The penzoil platinum seems to be one of the best store bought oils according to the test results I've seen from the blackstone labs. Mobil 1 used to be the best before the other companies caught up.
There are rumors that mobil 1 decreased the quality of their full synthetic in the past few years, but I cant confirm that. I've had very good results with castrol part synthetic, but I'm not a lab tech so i can't confirm much.
Go to bobistheoilguy.com and read through the posts on there. It's very informing and has a lot of blackstone lab results on different brands of oil.
