Opinions on seat cover Style! Poll and Pictures included

Post by LilSparkPlug » Sat Sep 27, 2008 3:56 pm

Okay so here's the deal, I need to do a bit more to my interior to get the car further towards my goal. Seat covers are next on the list. I would have had them done last winter but as you all know from my progress log I spent that money elsewhere. I am hunting for different fabric colors now in hopes one will match well enough to do this.

The all black options with perforations are to stay with the old school theme. Though I want to do that I'm not sure if it will be enough to be noticeable on a show circuit. Or if it will simply blend in with everything else. At the same time....will the pink be too much?

On to the poll, there are three options (Thanks to Brodie for chopping these for me) so far. They are as follows:

- Black leather, Black leather perforated Inserts, pink Embroidery/Stitching.
Image

- Black leather, Black leather perforated Inserts, pink piping, pink embroidery.
Image

- Black leather sides, Pink insert, and either Pink stitching or piping on the black. The insert in this isn't what I would want...I would want it to go down to the bottom of the seat but leave the headrest black. Pink embroidery on this also.
Image

- A shot of the embroidery I currently have that I am talking about (yes I have since fixed that weatherstrip)

option 1...as long as the embroidery doesn't look cheesy.

Both options 1 and 2 depend on me finding a thread or vinyl to match. The second picture isn't very accurate as the color is way off. Thanks for the input guys...I'm thinking subtle now too....

It looks like staying simpler is the way to go for most people....so that is just what I will do, but with an added twist. :) Can't reveal everything!

Now that's down right mean. I dislike being outside of the loop. :D I bet, whatever you do, it'll look sharp.

The first one gets my vote. It's just enough to tie in the whole black/pink theme without over doing it...

Ha ha well I revealed the trunk project in my progress thread, that will be done this weekend. The interior will be mostly black with some pink. :)

1. Trust me on this.

Option three has way too much pink.

Option two has too much solid pink, and it looks boring.

Pink stitching is I think more...I dunno, high class, detail oriented, and I think will offer itself to be a better looking finished product. It's more of an accent then the center of attention.

that's a tough one.... i like the first two.

I like the pink stitching. I'm not a fan of the third option, but it's up to you.

Option 3 will not ever work because the vinyl doesn't match the paint 100%. The vinyl would need to be a perfect match in order to go with that. So I had to toss that idea out the window. The stitching and piping are the two I am between currently. But leaning more towards the piping with a different kick on the center.

Either way it will be simple with alot of black and less pink (using the pink as an accent) an exact opposite of the exterior.

I like the ones in the last pic. Current ones, right? I say stick with them. Or have Sparco custom stich some for you
