Ugly noise when turning car off

Post by Nutmeg » Sat Sep 27, 2008 8:11 pm

So, I don't really know what an SRT should sound like, since I've never really been around one. I drive a 2005 Neon with a swapped motor, and it's started to make this sound now that I KNOW isn't right. It happens right when I turn the car off. I'm guessing its the turbo fins. I also think my pcv valve is rattling, but I don't know if you can hear it in the video.

I can't really hold boost either, but I haven't tested for leaks, and I haven't tightened clamps. Please let me know what you think this noise is! I don't like it. It's at the end of the video.

Ack, I feel stupid. It was my intake rubbing. It just scared me.

lol. Glad you found what it was. I hate little sounds that our cars make.

I miss my neon at times. She treated me well and taught me a lot about cars in general. I will always have a special place in my heart for these cars. Heres to the 2gn community.
