Got a question on outside appearance modifications. Questions about body kits, exterior lighting, just anything thats a visual mod on the "exterior" of the car. Ask those questions here.

so i gotta get a new hood since it's rusted thru (just gonna get another stock black one since cf is ridiculous and i can't afford that right now lol. but you know that insulation that goes underneath it? i was thinking maybe to paint a dodge symbol or ACR or something on there in red to stick with my whole black and red theme...or if you could buy one like that? or anything? idk i just think it would be different...and sweet looking!

I doubt it's original at all for any car brand, but do it, cause I havn't seen it on a neon yet.

I say do it! And you may want to go with a high temp paint since that is right above the engine... which gets kind of hot as I recall, lol.

What ever you end up painting on there, make sure your car is it. Like don't paint the ACR symbol unless you have an ACR or the R/T unless you have an R/T

Off to exterior.

The only other issue you would have is that the pad gets pretty dirty and it's a pain to clean. Plus the pad would need to be cleaned first for the paint to stick to it.

I took mine off because I got tired of getting grime on my head while working on the engine
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

I know someone makes these for Monte Carlo's.

It's been a while since I looked. The company makes a very nice piece. If I can remember or find the company I'll let you know. But I don't know you are really looking to do it yourself or if you just wanted the look or ????

They are made for Corvettes also, and most are embroidered.

Just make sure you have ALOT of paint. The hood liner will soak up alot of it.

Here is a guy on the Charger Forums that did something similar.

Oh snap, a woman with an ACR. AFTER MY OWN HEART.

Also, do you think you'll have to worry about the paint running/bleeding?
