30% cashback from eBay / paypal purchases

My buddy just told me about this.. don't know how long it's been going on or how long it's going to last.. but it was the first I heard about it

go to live.com (microsoft live search) and search for something (that you want to buy, duh), at the top of the results in the sponsored sites you may see one that says "You may get 30% off with PayPal if eligible." .. click that and go to ebay

then on ebay at the top youll see the microsoft cashback logo.. go back to searching for things.

be sure to read the conditions, they are pretty specific ..

i quickly searched for an lcd tv .. 32" philips for $500, $350 after cashback.. thats better than black friday deals, christmas deals, or anything else... and its not a generic olivia/insignia/etc

it's actually a pretty slick deal.... can get PS3's for around $250 this way. new audio equipment for dirt cheap.

what info did you have to give to Microsoft when you registered with them? ive passed up on free stuff over the years from them because i didnt want to give them my name/address, etc .. and in some cases even SSN!!
microsoft doesnt need to know who i am

lol good question.. had not thought of that and its not mentioned anywhere... is true with the business paypal account ALL incoming money gets charged the fee... dont see why this would be any exception.. so its really a 27%-ish cahsback deal.. lol.

FYI: This is now down to 20%

I got a Wii w/4 games and 2 controllers for under $275 shipped before the deal went down. (should be about $200 with cash back)

So, that was a fun run, but 20% just isn't worth it to me. Time to start 60 hour work weeks to catch up

Nice! Glad I got my sway kit when I did. And the money is pending. I just don't udnerstand why it takes 60 days... Is there anything you have to do in those 60 days other than keep good with Paypal and eBay?
