The wiggzmobile thus far...

Post by wiggyx » Thu Oct 09, 2008 5:08 pm

Hey guys. I thought I'd post up some pics of my current projects for my SRT Neon.

Molded PVO spoiler with shaved third brake light and lock tumbler.

Fresh meat

Fixing some boo-boos

Bye-bye wing holes

a little Bondo and fiberglass later

damn near done

Infinity Q45 third brake light (to keep her legal)

It looks like it belongs there IMO.

And here are my Audi A4 Retrofit headlights (also in -progress)

Finding a set of D1S sized bulbs and ballasts is proving both tricky and expensive. The worst part is that I have to defeat the Bi-Xenon portion of the projectors, as the solenoid doesn't fit into the Neon lamp. :(

Oh yeah, one last thing. My custom fender badges.

It's my logo (I'm an industrial designer)

I'll add more as I get to it.

Great work man  My car wants a molded AVS in the worst way
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Tenzo Type-M, version 1

I got them from Elementwheels/Elementmotorsport. They're selling them at a pretty nice discount now from what I understand.

Not much going on inside yet. I've got a triple stock pod setup and that's about it so far.

The rest of my time/money is spent under the hood.

The interior is going to be my last step. I probably won't start to touch it until next summer.

I like the car so far... but the only part I find odd is that your intake and v.c. look like playdough! what color is that?

It's just red texture powder coat. I cheated the saturation a bit. Here's a shot that's less cheated.

Dude, LOVE those wheels! The red ring around the projector is a nice lil touch as well! The car is looking very sharp, with little distinct parts here and there that just tie it all together :)

A couple things I would change though, are the injector cover (I'd do it wrinkle black with red letters) and I'd either paint the letters on the valve cover black, or grind the coating off of them and polish 'em. The polished letters would be a nice accent to the intake tubing. Also, I'd do the "SRT-4" heat shield in wrinkle black too.

Not knocking your work or anything, just making a few suggestions. Oh yeah...and you need a black shift boot with red stitching! I happen to know a guy that does them... Let me know when you're ready for it!

My buddy works at an Audi dealership as a tech, so he hooked up a set of A4 lamps for me to hack apart. His only stipulation was that the 2nd set goes to him.
