Hey, nuttin' wrong with that 1st gen. The clear coat is peeling off like mad, but that's not yer fault. Looks like a DOHC - is it also a 5spd? Got some alloy wheels on there, too

lol, other people have laughed and asked "why dont you get something new" (like my wife she asked that, hahahaha)

I tell them I dont want a car payment, I would rather spend money on other toys like my ATV, and tow it with my wifes explorer, lol. After a while my wife decided I was smart and it saves us money. I try and tell my friends to find a DD for cheep, but I gues there too good

Yeah I thought it was a DOHC, but its not, I was disapointed. The hood is the stock hood that came with it all the stickers match it to the car, I didnt know SOCH's can come with DOHC hoods.

Its a 95 plymouth sport, even though is not great looking, I like it because it has the fogs, 4 wheel disc brakes, alloys, it was kida nice for what it was. I got a rear sway bar for it, the rear view mirror with map lights, and power windows (I got some doors off a R/T that them).

This is late, but welcome! Nice DD you have there. And yes, a lot of us wouldn't mind having a 1st gen to bop around in

I didn't think the early sports had anything available engine-wise other than a DOHC. What is the 8th digit of the VIN?
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

Not quite what I meant. I had thought the 1st Sport models were DOHCs. I know that the Sport and Espresso trim level were available with a SOHC in '97

Yes! Welcome to the forum! I'll quickly jump on the "I wouldn't mind having a 1G DD to bop around in" bandwagon too  I honestly miss my old '95 SOHC.

Yeah, '95 Sports could be a SOHC or DOHC - both had the bulge hood, just like the later Expresso.
Another odd thing is that the SOHC/DOHC '95 Sport 5speed cars had the 3.94 trans. All others after '95 with the SOHC had the 3.55, and only the DOHC powered cars came with the 3.94

LOL, It's kinda funny sometimes I like to joke that it only cost $300. But the tint on the windows almost cost as much as the car, lol, but it made a huge difference in looks and inside temps when it was over 100 degrees here. Then for last winter I bought snow tires for it that cost about $175, but I helps keep me and the car safe so thats ok.

Thanks for all the welcomes guys/gals. Maybe next year if I see an inexpensive 2nd gen pop up forsale I may buy one
