A Reintroduction!

Post by Supermanneon » Tue Oct 14, 2008 3:42 pm

Hey Ive been on here for awhile. I owned a 2000 plymouth neon but I totaled it about 9 months ago. So about 2-3 months ago i picked up a 2001 dodge neon Red with about 130,000 miles on it. The interior was brand new, the outside needed just some paint. Well Happens it needed alot more, I paid 1750 for the car and so far with repairs and misc things im up to 4500! Well here are a few pics of my first car on here and some of the new one.

The hood looks like the snubber in front is just too high, or am I missing something big?

What repairs did you put into it to get the total that high already?

At 130K miles, I would probably scrutinize any car that I was thinking of buying. That's a lot of road traveled. Sorry to hear you had to dump so much back into it to get it squared away.

Sorry about your troubles, that sucks. Nice to have you back in the family though.

$600 brakes the first week, $400 new struts oxygen sensor plus labor, $350 for timing belt and water pump becuase it broke while driving home from work one day, $600 for the top of the engine to be sent to the machine shop to have all the valves replaced, i bent a few when the timing belt went, and about $500 in misc things. Though i spent all that money i know that car is driveable now and i dont feel i have to worry about to much. When i have the money early next year ill buy someone newer. After crashing my car all i did was look for neons. The interior is the best part of the car though..its practically brand new! ill get some pictures later. Thanks for the comments
