Capacitor?
so what does a capacitor actually do with a system??? and how can i get my lights not to dim when i have my system going?
You need to upgrade your grounds first of all...that will help a LOT with the dimming
Capacitor as I have had it explained, works by storing some energy so the amp is not constantly drawing power from the battery, but kind of "Sips"

capacitors are a waste of cash. invest in better wiring and a better battery.

all u have to do is just add up the rms on the amps (If more than one) go get a kinetic batt that will hold the power, its way more better than CAP. And as for buying a battery, u could do that but its not gonna help that much.U wanna hit the heart of amps, and the only way of doing that is to buy a better alternator. I bought mine from OHIO GENERATORS, their on the expensive side but if ur into car audio than that would be ur best investment.
