Use either a Torx T-45 or a T-55 driver to remove the rear seats. From there you have full access to the rear deck cover. I would also recomend that while you are there changing out the stockies, put in a generous amount of sound deadening material so you don't have to come back through and pull the back seat out again.

The bottom part of the seat just pulls up with nothing more than clips holding it in. To remove the rear you'll need a torx driver to remove the 4 torx screws holding it in place. After removing them the rear seat back pulls up and out.

just pull the seat on each side up and it should just pop out of place...then you can pull the back carpet as well as all of the plastic clips that hold the child things and the seatbelts in...there is no real reason to actually pull the back seat unless you really want to...once the carpet is out then you can undo the screws and get the speakers out....

the clear corners were not that bad, just pull the clip on the back of the light and they pop right out

I just changed out my rear speakers last night. I have a '05 SXT.
I did not have to remove the seats at all. I started by removing all of the plastic covers around the seatbelts and safety hooks on the rear deck.
After this, I gently pulled the front end of the rear deck up from behind the seat. Once it came out, I was easily able to slide the entire deck down the seat belts and store it against the rear seat out of the way as I changed out the speakers.
I did have a hard time getting one of those back screws out. My screwdriver wasn't able to get on it, even though it was very small. I ended up coming from underneath and simply grabbing the screw from the bottom with a pair of pliers and turning it. I did this until it was loose enough for me to grab and finish off by hand from the top. When I put my new speakers in, I just used three instead of four screws to make it easier in case I needed to do it again.
Hope that helps.

haha funny thing is ive heard it was 5, then 4, and in my car it ended up being only 2 that held my rear seat in
i went out and bought a T55 and T60 cuz i was tired of getting BS answers and people telling me all diff kinds of sizes... lets just say T55 is the 'best' fit

You dont have to take out the back seat. But it is easier if you do. All you have to do is open your 2 back doors. Pull the molding in the door around the back C pillars. Pop off the C pillars. Then on the rear deck theres 3 plastic clips, pull those off. Then pull up at those 3 points and use a little arm and the rear deck lid pops off. Then just reverse order to put the rear deck lid back in. The only thing i thought that was a pain was finding a little enough screw driver to reach the screws by the back window when i replaced my speakers.

when i took the screws by the window out i used one of those ratcheting box wrenches (mine are from ACE hardware) the wrench set came with a bit driver setup. they came out super easy using it. you could probably use a 1/4" drive ratchet and a 7mm socket with a standard phillips bit (like those used in cordless drills) shoved in the socket.
