the dash tweeters are 3-1/2"
the front doors are 6-1/2" although it's a 6-3/4" opening.
the rear deck are 6x9.

they do sell adapters specifically for these dodge speakers to throw 6.5in's in. if you buy alpine's they come with the adapter (the type-s and the type-r do anyway)

I've got 6 1/2" kenwoods in my front doors. All I had to do was mount it to the stock black plastic mount using screws.

^^^me too. Just remove the old one from the black piece and drop the new ones in place. Buy a component set and put the tweeter in the dash where the 3 1/2" goes. sounds really good even without an amp

i haven't replaced my tweeters. I have been fine with the output i've gotten from them. Do you really notice more trebble from aftermarket tweeters? Painful headache type trebble?

depends on the brand, some brands make harsh or bright tweets and some make smooth ones, just depends on what u want or what brand u purchased.

no grill? You're going to have to take a drill to the door pannel... the stock grills on the door don't come off, so take off the door pannel, cut out the grill, then sand the edges down so you have a nice smooth round hole and put the door back on.
If you are only going for color, get some "dual" speakers, or some Sony Xplods. I have no experience with either of those speakers though, but I have heard bad things about sonys... mainly that they Xplode easily.

but i don't know about single leds. See if you can get some interior lighting (strips) in red (if that's your theme color).

crappy speakers with red cones vs quality products with some easy to install lighting. it's a no brainer and will actually draw more attention to the speakers.
