Very interesting setup. Nothing like the HAHN or the ASP Turbo kits that I have ever seen on any neon. Unique. Is that your hotside pipe coming over the engine in the washer bottle area? Weird..

Yeah i think im the only one on here with this current setup... for obvious reasons haha. If i had the money i definitely would have went with the ASP kit. i had to get rid of the washer fluid tank to run the hot side pipe. No clearance issues though

List of things i want to get done by christmas:
1. New Cf hood
2. I DESPERATELY need to clean up the engine bay somehow..
3. im up in the air to either get meth/water injection or a CF trunk.. what do you guys think?
4. HID's
5. New cd player
6. get rid of that shitty rice tach
Any other suggestions?

Personally, I think your car would flow much better without those Manufacturer stickers you have on the lower drive side, it would look very clean without them! I was searching some on neons.org and I saw a 1gn with a hotside running into where it looked to be the washer bottle area as well. The only benefit I see to running it over the engine is for if you wanted your car to be slammed, not having to worry about a lot-hanging hotside pipe. Have you given any thought about changing up your wheels? Maybe a solid color would compliment the blue more than the black with polished lip idea. HID's are always a win but more so for projection housing headlights, I didn't see that you had any, so are you going to be picking those up as well? Getting rid of the tach is good because you already have one in the guage cluster that works fine! :D Enough ranting from me lol.

I really appreciate the ranting  i like hearing input about things ive done, (both positive and negative). I took the stickers off the side this past weekend.
And for the hotside pipe, the roads around my town are absolutely terrible, i come close to bottoming out on a daily basis :banghead: so thats a part of the reason why its setup that way. Its funny you mention the wheels, ive been thinking about getting new ones for a while now, i agree with the chrome lip... not really a fan.
Projectors r ordered
Tach is out as well
Tam wrote:I thought you said you were selling this car and buying a honda? :beatstick:

i might end up keepin the neon though as a daily

Well, kudos for trying to get up some pics, but no kudos for the time of day and camera used for it. haha.

Get some better ones during the day, man. Nice vids. Looks like you ditched your CF hood for your stock one.

Funny story about the pics.. so i drove about 15 min away from my house with my "nice" camera to snap a couple shots next to the ocean during the sunset.. got everything set up, turned on my camera only to realize the batterys were dead. these halfass pics are a result of me not wanting to come home empty handed haha

I realized the cf hood was sorta tacky imo so decided to ditch it

Plans for the next 2 weeks:
1)since i never use my A/C im taking that out
2)well as you all know my PS pump fried so the ps system is going as well cause im too lazy to get a new pump
3)i ordered a coolant overflow but it never came so i modified a oil catch can from ebay to work... ill post pics soon
4)i gotta figure out the trunk situation..... its really pissing me off that i have no room to put my sub, as of right now its just sorta chillin next to the nitrous bottle

stickers r off, tach is gone, cf hood is gone..... i'm open to any suggestions guys/girls

good news: im bringing my car to school next semester so ill deff be attending any/all meets in the area. :D

I'm thinkin that maybe you should fab something up with the backseat. Like a custom box that doesn't take up a shit ton of room in the trunk. Like a slim but WIDE box.

Srsly what part of Mass are you from I'll meet you somewhere we can do a freezing ass photoshoot. You could always fab up a Kicker style box and mount the sub in the side of the trunk, I've seen someone on SRTforums do that I can get pictures if you want.

I like what you did with cutting out the "grilles" on the bottom portion of the front bumper.

I live 45 minutes north of Boston just south of of Newburyport....i think im around an hour and a half away from the Warwick/Providence area. I would definitely be down for a icy photo shoot haha

If you could show me a pic of the sub setup that would be awesome. im really regretting ripping out the trunk carpet to this day...:(

a little off topic... but are you familiar with RISR or ocean state tuning by anychance?

I had to rip my trunk carpet out :(. Damn taillight gaskets leaked and it started to mold.

In fact, then leak to this day, BAD lol. Ask Jeff or anyone that saw the ghetto rig I got going in there. Poked two holes in the bottom of the spare tire well, water drains right out...

Check out slaw's set-up, I'm not sure if your runnin one or two subs still, but he has a fiberglass? set-up in his trunk and it looks awesome, plus takes up minimal space. When are you planning to pick up a REAL manifold? :)

...its funny you say that cause when i first mounted my nitrous bottle the whole i drilled was a little too big, so i have a drain hole as well

when mine blows up

On a side note..... 2 more days then I'm on winter break!!!!!
ill make sure to take lots of pics when I get home

We'll have to plan for something after the holidays. Then you can have decent shots of your car lol. I used to be familiar with RISR, way back in 02 when I had my Stratus coupe, why do you ask? Ocean State Tuning I don't know anything about. I'm very much a lone ranger and when it comes to the local scene I don't know much about it.

As for the enclosure, I know there was a guy making these, but with a bit of fiberglass it honestly shouldn't be too difficult to do. You could make one for either side, or both:

As for the trunk carpet, Nee doesn't have one either and he needs one. His was moldy due to faulty taillight gaskets when we bought him. So I tore it out, but need to get to the JY to get a new one.

Holiday shoot sounds good, I am a horrible photographer as you all know.. point in shoot is my strategy haha
I was wondering about the RISR and OST cause i know a bunch of ppl down there(including the head of RISR) and was wonderin if you knew any of em. I think kyle mcombs ost actually went under but im not sure.
anyways, that sub box looks incredible! maybe ill take a stab at that over break, ive never worked with fiberglass before but it doesn't seem that hard.

same thing happened with my trunk, it took me forever to figure out where the water was coming from.
