Yes, you should get one. They are very nice.

Is this solely a race car? or does it get put on the street occasionally.

Hey Trick. FYI I am 60 yo and have been a motor head from age 4

I have been collecting tools for over 45 years and at last got my dream garage. S0 I am far from spoiled lol. The car is my son's and he is 33 yo We both work on it and up to now no one but us hane ever worked on or tuned it. The only work we have farmed out right now is the build and machine work on the motor and auto trans going in it.

Racer, it is a streetable drag car, we have been able to get the car inspected by putting in a stage 1 computer and it does see the street once in awhile. After the new motor and auto go in I dont think it will be streetable for long.

LOL
Keep the dream in your head and work towards it every day.
The way I look at it is the money we save by doing everything ourselves is what makes the kift and tools possible to get.
Just little things like oil changes can save me $20 every time and something like doing a timing belt saved us $ 350 or more in labor.
Even if I need to buy a special tool it seems I still sane some money and have a new tool to add to the box. You can see how it don't take long to get payback on something like a lift, They are not that expensive the one in the pic was 2 grand delevered, we put it up. you aan get others for 1500 that work just as well but I needed th 10,000 lb cap to lift my Ram pickup.

Ray, very nice garage! Thats exactly how I want mine to look when I move out and get a home of my own. The car is beautiful as well, and quite fast. Can't wait to see what you do with it next!

I'm with you 100% on the DIY. That's how I do everything, unless I absolutely can't or don't have the equipment. Makes it that much more worthwhile, not to mention you save more cash when you don't pay labor!!

yeah that is a nice garage and yeah i agree on labor charges its rediculous on some parts.
like back in july i had to replace my front bushings and the shop was going to charge like $700 to do it and so i did it my self for like $15 total.

Yes. DIYers rule!
Very nice garage and a very clean spoilerless Neon!

The question I have to ask is, What is all done to that thing!!!?

All I see is a big front mount, skinnies in the back, beefy tread up front, and I hear a not so stock turbo. :D

Here is what was in the car for that run.

500/510 11.25 @ 123 AGP hp61 bb .82ar s5 w/ S comp. housing,LFS 60mm tb ,DASported intake Needswings dp ,M&H slicks, Boomba eng. & trans. mounts, PSI-FI traction bushings,tien coilovers, BC S2cams, Fidanza gears, water/meth. inj.Nemo's hydr. tob,ACT 6puck ridgid,NDE tcs, DSS stage 5 axels, D-TEC fc/bc & tuner/wideband

We currently have the motor and trans out and TK Motorsports is doing a block that can support 800hp and massive head work.
We are also going to install a Steve Lockett built first gen three speed auto trans. along with an AEM standalone ECU
When it is all sorted out we should be mid 10sec car and with a few more mods like twin fuel pumps, coil on plug ignition and a log type intake manifold with 1000cc injectors we hope to knock on the low 10s and maybe with luck get into the 9sec. range That is our goal. LOL
