I'm of the opinion that as long as the vehicle has been well maintained and not beaten on while driving that mileage is just a number.
I've seen very well maintained highway tractors with well over a million miles... granted Neon's don't have the robustness of a highway tractor but they are not doing the same work either.
If you are serious about this one I would start with an oil analysis if at all possible... that will give you the story about the engine. Make sure there are at least a few thousand miles on the oil if you are going to have it tested.

idk if i got a high mileage car i'd have it as a DD and probably rebuild the engine at some point.
I'd probably see if he would take 7k...
My friend bought a .50 trim that needed work, got a new head and pistons and it runs amazing now. Of course it took some work, but he got it insanely cheap. Deffinetely check the tranny, the motors are built pretty solid

I forget...somewhere around 8 or less. Either way it was not stock at all...but that is a rare case where you can get a steal.
Either way, an amp install would not scare me away from buying a car. It's freaking super easy to install a sub. My neighbor who has never worked on cars before figured it out in an hour. Yeah, you can fuck shit up but it takes all of 5 minutes to remove the wiring if you want to anyway.
Nonetheless, engine bay looks good. Test drive it and see what it feels like...

You will need a tube, pump and sample container. Basically the tube runs down the oil dipstick tube and you pump enough out to fill the sample container. This Ya Boy wrote:how would you go about that? (oil analysis)
Perhaps there is a oil analysis lab near you or you could always use these folk:

I know they can supply you with the sample bottles and I believe the pump and tubing as well... if I am not mistaken.
Might all be moot at this point considering the link now displays this text: "This posting has been deleted by its author."

That is right... they supply the sample container for free.Swordfish2Cowboy wrote:Blackstone doesn't give you a pump, just mails you a container to put the oil in and a package. You supply shipping and all that jazz.
One has to pay for the pump.
