So I was reading the instructions that I got with the door kit and it says in one of the last steps that you have to trim the fender so the hinges can fit behind them.. is this true with the Neon?

Yes. You have to cut the inner "lip" that comes out from the fender. When you get them on there you will easily see what they are talking about.

Alright, cool. And.. what'd you use to cut the inner part of the fender? Anything else that I should know about that's not on the instructions that come with the box?..

Thanks..

There are a couple tricks ot make it easier on yourself.

Before you take off your stock hinges you are going to want to tightly tape your door to your car. This will make aligning the door later MUCH easier(will easily save you over an hour of aligning)
Put the hinges on via the instructions. And align it. USE LOCKTIGHT! It is a life saver.

Yea they mention the tape thing in the instructions. My only issue I have that's keeping me from putting the damn things on is that I have to find someplace that'll be able to trim the fender.

Yea. I was looking behind the fender today and noticed the edge that I'd need to trim off. Is that it? Besides that foam looking piece that's also behind the fender. I'm gonna try and get it taken care of when I go to Ohio this weekend to visit family, I may have an Uncle who can trim that piece and help me.

I pm'd SXXXT, but he's yet to get back to me. No biggie.

Thanks man.
