its been done before....
or atleast hear in Western New York....
2 months ago my 2gn buddy with an SRT relocated his heater controls to where his pass airbag was, and installed I think a 7" screen. It took the whole area where the radio and heater controls where on the center bezel...
Its an awesome idea, especially if it has touch screen controls...
That would also be a perfect spot to for a display for a PC or an engine managment system.....

the staged kits have a dial for staged boosts....
for EX:
1 on the dial is a lil more than stock....
2 on the dial is more boost and more spark and fuel curve...
and the rest of the numbers are higher and higher....
0 on the dial is stock....
then he should have a button for intercooler spray, auto or manual..
and finally a race gas, premium gas button....

Yeah that looks awesome. But as far as the woodgrain I'm not feelin it. Everything else is done amazingly IMO. Good job.

Hey, don't knock the woodgrain. I have those woodgrain pieces in my 2000 ES. I have the center bezel and the ATX shifter bezel. It looks classy to me. Then again, thats the kind of thing I like. Nice and classy. 8)

This is a German Neon LX and they came standard with woodgrain.

This is also standard on all German Neons. It´s a height adjustment for the headlamps - required by law.

Hey Guys, thank you for your compliments.
It was a very hard job to squeeze the monitor into the dashboard. It was needed to set the radio and the heating control 2 inches down.
It looks good, but i have to admit, it's not yet perfect.
I have to fix te woodgrain again.
It was my first glass-fibre job...

I used te woodgrain because the other applications in my neon are woodgrain to...

@neondriver: for the first time i had my monitor also in the heating like yours.

All the lighting in my dashboard is blue (now). I think, i used 25-30 blue LEDs and a lot of time.

Here are some pics or you. My Radio and my powerwindow-control.

Did you just replace the standard 12v bulbs with 12v led's?

Jenni... very good job on modifying the center surround piece! and the blue LEDs look top-notch as well. :thumbright:

ps. your english is quite well, better than some americans that post around on some of these neon boards.  i'd try my german, but with only two years of german class in high school (which was 5 years ago) i'm afraid i would accidentally insult you guys.

Yes - it's law in germany. If your trunk is full - the nose will lock in the sky - and then you can adjust the headlamps down - is more friendly for the other people in front of your car...
I think, no one uses this feature really...

I used LEDs and a little resistor for every LED.
Its not really complicated.

For the stock radio you need 14 LEDs and just one resistor (470 ohm), that comes into the +connector on the backside of the circuit board. Don't ask me about the right place, try to find it....

For the gauges i could found nothing good in germany - i captured glow gauges from eBay USA.

@evlneon: Don't try it - a friend from USA on holliday in germany confessed me, that he learned german in school - and his father is a german (!) - but he wasn't able to speak just one phrase in german... But his trials where very funny.
