Ok guys, since all my other neons were definitely EPIC FAILS.... Team Livid and myself have decided to try and make my new (yet old) first gen 4dr sport into something decent. We are downgrading the motor to a 3 cylinder Geo Metro motor.... ok ok I bullshit too much... we are attempting a 2.4 swap non turbo at this time. So far we already pulled the motor and have a 394 dohc trans sitting underneath my driveway. Also other parts are ordered. Hope to have it ready by Carlisle next year.... we will see. Videos to be posted or pics.

Is it going to be a stock 2.4? or an all motor 2.4? or boosted eventually?

asiansteve! whats up dude! hows it going. Glad you decided to re do your neon. i wish i could get help from teamlivid. he isnt in to my 2.4t swap..

LOL, dude i'm here for you just call me when you want some help.

Right now we are just planing on rebuilding the 2.4 to stock by replacing old worn parts with new. The neon came with a AFX long tube header and a rare Iceman CAI. Steve ordered a mopar ECU and some mount inserts. I think theres a set of rare mopar x-high rate springs in the trunk.

All motor or turbo.....only time will tell. We want to get the thing running first and go from there.

I might swing by sometime over the weekend and snap some pics.

BTW, the 2.4 came out of a 97 stratus. Took us all day at the junkyard to pull and it was a pain in the ass.

A stock N/A 2.4 in a 1gn with a 3.94 would make one hell of a fun car.

Yeah, high 14's with bolt ons. Just have to shift at 6200 lol. Where are you guys with this car? I'd like to give a hand if I can (whenever I get my 98 running right.

We are no where close to doing anything at the moment Jerry, but thanks for the support. First things first, getting the motor apart and replacing old with new.

Other goodies on the car:

German OEM tails lights
German OEM front turn signals
German gauge cluster
hand port intake manifold done by yours truely and the previous owner (Aj)
56mm TB I think
AFX UDP
either a short shifter or cut shifter
booger bushings
AFX soild front mount
rusted brakes

oh......and its purple
