Im picking up some rims and tires tomorrow. The tire size is 205/50/15, Im just wondering if this smaller then the stock tire 15in. Im running stock 14 inch steelies, not sure of their size though.

You can either use the miata calculator: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

or...

(width*aspect percentage)/25.4*2+rim height

(205X.50)/25.4*2+15 = 23.1"

Stock Height = 23.7

They are. Probably notice they're smaller too, don't fill the wheel wells as much if you're not lowered.

Thanks, Im still stock height, dropping after winter. Im going to wrap them in new rubber come taxes, so I guess I'll go with a bigger tire.

I'm running 195/60R 14 with out too much trouble (23.2x7.7). The smaller diameter may actually help offset the weight difference of the larger rims, if you can tolerate the wheel well gap.
