ACR SRT4 BBS wheels

Post by tamadrumr88 » Mon Aug 22, 2005 8:26 pm

the ACR wheels fit (no spacers or strut modification needed) with no problem

BBS RX 16"x7" +40mm offset
225/45-16 BF-G KDW's

theyre absolutely stunning and look 1000000x better than my '01/02 RT wheels

Image

sorry for the night pic, i took a pic as soon as i finished (which also explains why the car is sitting so damn high yet)

* more pics to come - oops, i already did  :P *

They weigh more. I like the look but I like the weight of my 01 r/t wheels more. I believe those are either 18 or 19 lbs. Not really a lightweight wheel in my book. The stock 01/02 r/t are in the 16 lbs range. Don't get me wrong, I love the look, but not the added weight.

yes, they are heavier but the wheel/tire combo actually weigh the same as my stockers did. the bbs wheel is 19.7lbs whereas the 16" silverstones are 18lbs... unfortunately the all-season 205/50's weigh MORE than the current 225/45-16 KDW's.

both wheel/tire combo weighed in at 42lbs

i wont say what i got them for but ill tell you the price of them new (from tirerack):

BBS RX 16x7: $405/ea
BF-G 225/45-16 KDW: $116/ea

these are surprisingly similar to the stock silverstones yet different in the same aspect. ill have to get more pictures once daylight comes (the above pic was taken at about 8:30pm with the lens open for 20 secs). these have more of a gunmetal-silver flake finish where the stockers had a cheap metal flake that looked more metallic than silver. these rims are truly a work of art. (either way it def makes a cool sig :))

Dont they have a knock off of that wheel too? Just incase someone wants the looks but not the price. Like I said I love the look but for the price I'll take somehting else. I am sure you got a good deal on them though. They do look a lot like the silverstones , but I like how the BBS's spokes turn inward at the end.

ps damn you for having the same color lol. I wonder what those would look like.

almost.... ASA (which is a BBS licensed brand), has a similar model called the AR1. one big difference between the RX and AR1 is the faux two-piece bolts on the AR1. also, when viewed side by side, you can actually see that the AR1 isn't exactly the same as the RX:

also. tama stated that the RX's are $405 each wheel, it should be noted that price is for the CHROME plated version. the bright silver PAINTED version of the RX is only $270 per wheel. ;)
