Top Neon on Cardomain WTF!!!!!

Post by blue demon02 » Mon Nov 03, 2008 11:36 am

So I got an e-mail today telling me my neon was ranked 263 out of 6133. Not to bad. But then I saw what was number one:

http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3086156

Are you freaking kidding me that things is horrible. I think if it was rice it would have a fucking shopping cart on the back.

The engine bay is a complete mess. Looks like a 5 year old built the car.

Rant off.

some day when I can take a full day I plan on taking alot of wires, hoses and plumbing off to resituate and wrap together to look a little cleaner
I sure hope so since the spaghetti-like mess that is currently under the hood is pretty bad. Not crazy about the guage being mounted on the cowl either.

:withstupid:

Needs some lowering springs on that thing, too, as well as a better taste in interior trim colors (blue FTL).

I don't know...I really like the white painted manifold. I know it's hard to see since a lot of it is peeling off, but c'mon! That's pure sex!!!

Why the fuck would you put a gauge on the exterior?.. I was confused, and thought for a moment that it was a sick joke, but I realized "this fool seriously has a gauge on the outside of the car.."

Oh yes, some people are seriously retarded there... He claims he HAD to mount the gauge on the outside because he had no more room inside lol.

Although, I don't believe I saw an A pillar pod anywhere?

I also had some decals made just to let them know what they might be up against.
Looks like the neighbor kid ran up the side with his BMX bike.

my engine had went out on me the past weekend had i am lookin to do a swap. is there anyone that knows if a pt cruiser 2.4 turbo bolts in to the 01 neon? also if the plug ins for the ecu are the same? the motor that went had a bad rod or a valve had dropped. the rod just disentagrated and the piston looked like it had done the tango into a few good junks. i have never seen anything like it. i went to pull the oil pan off and their was nothing there. all that was left was a rod cap and the base of the rod. all the other rods and pistons looked fair. it was like god was sending me a message or something, a pretty bizzare thing. but if anyone can help on info i would be appreciated. i would just get the srt-4 swapped in but, my lovely wife can't drive that kind of stick. so i am forced to either try a pt turbo (because it does have the automatic) or do a rebuild on the 2.0. more displacement is better right. i will try to get some pics on. i can't find the camera.
Why yes he was!

WTF? is there more than one kind?

It is very common to mount fuel pressure gauges on the outside of a car.

When its a race car.

If there is no isolator, at least by dumb fourtune he mounted it to the outside. 50 to 60 psi of fuel going to the interior is just asking to be crispy.
Prolly the one thing he did right.

ugh.....this thing is an absolute mess...

fake hood scoop, rats nest of wiring, typical ricer interior painting, and an owner that apparently doesn't know ANYTHING about the entire PL platform!

0 stars from me (if i had a cardomain)
