You don't need an AK-47 unless you are planning on shooting a trick or treater through the door.

Ask that guy in SC. It did a really good job on that 12 year old.

I like how people use Obama's middle name all the time in some vain attempt to be edgy. If they are going to use his full name at least use it correctly. It's Barack Hussein Obama II.

Oh wait they are only saying the full name because they are xenophobic and are trying to incite some sort of unfounded islamic fear.

lmfao at the gun prices going up already....it's been 24 hours and he's president elect. doesn't take office till 1/20/09. So how would he have any effect on prices or guns period yet?

guns in homes? are you serious. Yea that's what we need. little johnny to get picked on, come home and get your gun. And light his school up. World is gettin over populated. Guns should be in the hands of the military and police. That's my opinion.

How does gay marriage effect you? omg two dudes or two girls are holding hands, or kissing. If you don't like it look away. Is it really honestly that hard?

you may not choose to PROTECT your homes and families but I DO.

As for as the shooting of the 12y old
the guy was a convicted felon with a ILLEGAL fire arm. So how does legal guns in the home count here.

And gun prices have gone up due to the recent demand for them. why a change in the demand, due to the expected/actual results of the election.

and as for those of you who think only police and the military should have guns you clearly have no understanding of what guns are for and what LEGAL gun owners do with them.

as for school shootings, If little Johnny's PARENTS raised him correctly there would be no issue. Can you honestly say you were never picked on in school, did you go shoot the bully? DONT THINK SO. Did you know that at one point in the us you could buy a fully automatic rifle (machine gun) through the mail with no backround check at all! and do you know how many school shooting there were then? 0 YEP 0, back when parents raised there children correctly there were a abundance of guns and no shootings. enplane that one.
You obviously have no clue on fire arms. DO you even know that any one in your state PA over the age of 21 that can legally own a fire arm (hand gun) can carry openly. DO some research on gun laws and why GOOD PEOPLE carry and own them.

IM done talking politics and gun issues with people here as there is no middle ground.

I just love how apparently a name makes someone a terrorist... do you guys not go to 7-11 because Habib runs it and he may be a terrorist?

One of our greatest presidents had a first name that is Hebrew (Abraham Lincoln, look up Abraham) OMG! JFK's first name is Hebrew too!

Yet we're supposed to be bothered by a man's name? Give me a fucking break...

And for the twit using Youtube as his proof that Obama is Muslim and all that bullshit... I wish I had a Delorean with some cool neon lights so I could go back in time and drop kick your mother in the stomach. Obviously everything we see on TV and the internet is true, right?

Fucking retard...

So... gun prices went up because we have a black man as President? Please... you're not part of the solution, so shut the fuck up.

What a tard...

So every American with a name of "Hussein" is an automatic terrorist?
He was born in Hawaii so that makes him un-American?
Good grief...

Spread the wealth around? Look at your recent paystub again and see where 25% or more of your pay is going: medicare and taxes.

Socialism? Go to North Korea, that's pure socialism. The government owns everything down there, down to a shoe brand. Too much socialism is bad. It just doesn't motivate people to work, resulting less productivity and output.

While I didn't vote for Obama I look at where we agree on things first.

Pro choice, stem cells, health care I say this as I'm looking at almost 300.00 after a trip to the ER and that after the my insurance payed them total bill was 400.00 I pay my insurance company more then a hundred a month.

While I believe marriage is a between a man and a woman thats my belief. I see marriage as religious union. I don't see it as something that should be controlled by the government.

People should be able to take on any partner they choose and be given the same rights and responsibility's under the law.

The way I read the bible I am not to force my religion on to anyone but be there to testify if someone wants to come to know the Lord. Nor am I to judged someone to damnation. (sorry just want to show my thought process)

I am concern about the foreign policy. There are people who want to destroy America both foreign and domestic. It doesn't matter who the president is IE WTC bombings and USS Cole, Oklahoma building during Clinton and 9/11 during Bush could have well been Gore depending on how FL vote turned out.

We need to do for ourselves, protect our interests, and do want it good for the US. However we are not the end all be all. We need to be able to listen others and be able to "share our toys on the playground" take the economy it just isn't about us anymore. But we need to do this in a way that we're not bending over and taken it up the ass or leave our selves vulnerable.

As there are those out there no matter what want to see the US burn to the ground.

Its a fine line to walk and I'm not sure anyone really knows how to do it.

Taxes I don't care for his plan because people take care of themselves before they take care of others. More taxes on business could slow their ability to grow and expand limiting jobs as they still need to make a profit. Cause if you can't make money at it you don't have a business you have a hobby. I think oil companies need to be looked at as 14.3 billion dollars in profit in 3 months a helluva a lot.

The way I see us staying out of a depression and getting out of a recession is JOBS Govt backed public work projects. Roads, bridges, energy (wind, clean coal, Nuclear) by making jobs people can make money and then they can buy things causing demand requiring more jobs to meet the demands.

Giving money to banks does nothing because they loans depending on the value of something and right now no one knows what is worth what so its to risky for them.

People need to learn how to save again. An the govt has to regulate cause people are greedy.

The other thing I'm concerned about is what people really think he can change. People voted for him base on his skin both for and against. While historic he is still one man and is still a politician. You got to give to get. Change doesn't happen quickly and somethings especially socially take a long time and people may become upset and this movement that is taking place stalls. An in the end we all lose out.

In parting if you had the choice between pointing out a persons success or their failures which would you choose? Now think of it as being you and are you still happy with your choice?

Anyway just my 2 cents

And you not knowing your English shows yours, big deal? (yourself is one word, someone is one word, it should be their not there, and "By not doing so shows your lack of intelligence" is not a sentence)

And you are right, I do apologize, I was wrong to assume you meant it was because he was black, HOWEVER, with some of the idiots posting their views, it seemed plausible to me that this was what you meant.

The thing I want to know, and have wondered this for a long time now... is whatever happened to the separation of Church and State?

God is on our money.
God (used to be) in our public schools.
The President swears on a Bible.
Churches are given bigger tax breaks.
Our citizens base at least part of their vote on a candidate's religion.
etc etc etc...

I ask you this. If it were true that Obama is Muslim... what would it matter? His views on God differ from the views of Catholics, is that enough reason to dislike him? Does that somehow make him less trustworthy of a man?

No, it doesn't. A person's skin color, their religion, their name... it all means nothing. It's all about actions. And those of you ripping Obama for those things... well, you're all acting like a bunch of ignorant assholes.

That is all I'm saying, this thread irritates me.

I don't know if you've noticed but the middle class is disappearing and thus our economy is faltering while executives are getting richer. Once the middle class is gone we all become slaves to the few with all the power. The balance needs to be restored in order for our country to thrive again, and making the rich richer is not going to do that.

I'm being curt here and not going into extreme details so get the gist and don't hang on details that i may have skimmed over and make discussion from there. Thanks
The middle class supports the nation with small business. Put higher taxes on small business and they start to dwindle.

Everyone and everything took a toll after 9/11, which had nothing to do with Bush. Sometime after that, Democrats took over Congress, everything went totally to shit, and people blamed it on Bush.
The congress voted for the war way before the Democrats took majority in the end of 2006. The majority in Congress were Republicans before that.

What irks me is how Saudi Arabia always get a "free pass." Most of those terrorists on 9/11 were Saudi Arabians but we have a need to protect the American interests over there, mainly due to its large oil reserves.

respond to my statement caustic neon, since you're so pro-gun.

Now I believe in protecting yourself and your family. Me and the girlfriend will be guying small firearms next year with our tax return and getting a concealed weapons license.

Obama wants to rid people of EXTREME weapons. Assault rifles, fully automatic weapons, shit people do NOT need to have in their possession. This has NOTHING to do with stripping people of their rights to protect themselves.

Most fully automatic weapons are banned.

But I see nothing wrong with an AR-15 or other semi-automatics.

Most of the higher caliber weapons are bolt action anyway, but there should not be a ban on Assault rifles. I would've purchased my share of AR's if I of age...don't know if I ever will now :tardbang:

BTW I was at the shooting range a few weeks ago and some dude had an AK. Sounds like a fucking cannon going off.

Where to start. Not that the last 8 years haven't been fun. Obama's tax plan has been ambiguous at best it started out at 250K per individual, it then went to 200K for families, which makes even less sense, Biden then said 150K and then lastly one of Obama's campaign surrogates and presidential hopefuls, Fmr Gov. Richardson then said 120K is the middle class cutoff. That isn't what bothers me, it is the hike in capital gains for any amount of profit so before if you owned a house and sold it as long as you were under 500K in profit no tax, under Barry you will see any profit get hit with 28%, this makes it difficult for people to move up in house size since you already lose a lot in house sale and closing fees, 28K off the top of 100K you make is good chunk of change and if you live in state like MD where you need to make at least 100K a year to live in the suburbs and it would still be tight budgeting so its a bad idea there. If you have a lot tied up in stocks and retirement funds you will get taxed more because he wants to raise the dividend tax to 39% that includes 401K so if you are close to retiring you will take a major raping when you sell your house to move to an area with a lower cost of living because you lose 28% from capital gains and then when you crack into your retirement you lose another 39% no brainer there. Now corporate taxes, this is the one that is the worst he wants to raise the corporate tax percentage to 35% up from 25%, right now at 25% we are the 2nd highest in the world in that tax rate, thats why we have so many jobs going overseas. So raise the corporate tax rate and even more jobs go overseas or less jobs are in the market or goods start to cost even more because we all know that corporations don't absorb a tax they pass it along and guess who pays it, the consumer, US. Lets not forget he wants to raise the federal gas tax another 30% so that means gas prices go up, and that means product prices go up, and that means we pay that tax at the pump and at the check out. Also he is planning to raise the payroll tax for SS which will pretty much affect everyone. I am hoping he is smart and won't do much of his tax plan because he will collapse the economy even further and then he will need to figure out how he is going to pay all those people that are jobless. But it isn't all his doing, the current president and current Congress has done the dirtiest thing that could be done and both candidates were involved, they rolled back Posse Comitatus, so the Fed. Gov't now has at least 1 Battalion on call do the gov't's bidding anywhere in the country. This happened and the MSM let it go softly into the night.

When it comes to real life things I tend to be a pessimist, that way I can't be disappointed and that is how I am taking the next 4 years. I am sort watching his presidency like nascar, waiting for a wreck because you know its going to happen.

Now for the few truthers we have on these boards its funny how Columbia, Harvard and Hawaii's governor all have sealed his records so his true status is up in the air. Now for the BHO supporters if he was republican you would all be asking for a full investigation until guilt was found. I love being an inconsequential independent because I didn't have a horse in the race, mine got euthanized months ago.

With resoning like this I don't care who you voted for. You made an educated decision based on your beliefs and how the candidates matched them.

:withstupid:

Just one thing I want to add to that. Simply put I did not vote for Obama because of his skin color. Policies aside, I believe that Obama can help mend the vast division occurring in our country. He talked to all Americans, not just democrats, christians or black people... All. That is very important to me since I'm not religious and sometimes feel oppressed by those who are. I feel included once again. I could give a fuck what color his skin is. There are other reasons why I voted for him, but I just wanted to point this one out.

McCain instantly lost me because of Palin.

I wouldn't, but if her mouth was glued shut there would be a better chance.

Patience, of course, is a very powerful weapon, but sometimes I start to regret that it is not a firearm.
