Most depressing thing so far though is Prop 8 passing. I can't believe it. I for one have a LOT of gay friends that DESERVE to be married to each other. Hell yeah!! I voted for both of those propositions! Maybe next election we can get a gay marriage proposition on there. I completely agree, its unfair bullshit.

I can buy beer on Sunday now! omg! My county had a ban on beer & wine (not liqour) on Sunday.

On a side note, how can anyone really be qualified to be president, except a past president?

It should be banned from public just like drug use. I don't want My kids around it! It seems youth are getting more and more corrupt each generation.

As a parent, I have no problem with gay marriage. Why would I? Does knowing that a gay couple is married make you gay? Does being around gay people make you gay?

That statement is the perfect example for why there is supposed to be a separation of church and state. Religious views should not sway the decisions for this country. If they do, how are we any different from extreme religious beliefs such as military Musslism that our military is fighting against right now?

Okay... so take religion out of it.

For such a diverse nation the government should create a means of unification that shares the same governmental protected privileges that anyone can have access to.... isn't this a civil union? we just don't call it a marriage. Problem solved... they get their union, they get their privileges, it isn't a religious union, and it is not discrimination against anyone. hmmmm......

Well prop 8 in Cali barely passed and there is a lawsuit on standby claiming the bill is technically a constitutional revision which would need a 2/3rds vote to pass not a 1/2 so that will probably get burned. If it does I dont ever see them getting a 2/3rds vote in California to pass the bill successfully.
