fuel switch

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

All you have to do is wire a switch into the fuel pump power wire. Where you put the switch is up to you, a secretive place would be best.

You could also wire a switch into the ignition power wire, I don't know much about that though. I've seen a few cars where it's wired to the high beams, you have to hold the stalk back to close the ignition circuit to engage the starter.

take the 4 big relays out of the underhood fusebox, and it's undriveable. That or wire a switch to the relay for the fuel pump. instead of ign12v turning it on, you could have a switch to turn it on. Better hide the switch though, since anyone trying to steal your car, is going to try that switch if it won't start.

Best thing to do is cut and switch the signal wire to either the ASD relay or the fuel pump relay. That way in the event of a crash, the ASD relay will still shut down the fuel pump/related items and the danger of fuel spraying all over is minimized. If a seperate switch was wired into the FP relay to power it, it would not shut off if the engine stalled.
