finally lowered the white beast

Post by tomfitz » Wed Nov 12, 2008 4:46 pm

i just bought and installed dropzone coilovers and a strut bar and it was only $150. they r dropzone springs which prob aren't the best but im a highschool kid so i have to work with what i have. it took my friend and i about 4 hours to drop it once we got the hang of it. my mom was pretty pissed when she saw it though. good thing it is my car!

The drop looks good, but I have nothing good to say about how you did it, so I hold my tongue. Save money for struts very soon.

Oh, I want your wheels.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...

first of all they are coilover sleeves, and there is a big difference between true coilovers and coilover sleeves... like danteneon said.. save up for some struts asap.

I have the actual dropzone springs on mine with KYB GR2's. Had them on for about eight months and I'm pretty sure the struts are blown already. Hearing the same noise I heard when the stockers with stock springs were on.

Soooooo...

Going to get me Tokico's and some Progress springs and "redo" the drop. What I'm trying to tell you is as soon as you can, change to a higher quality spring or you'll run into more problems!

Yours sits lower than mine does too.

Oh, that's cool. I'm out in the east suburbs but my ex lives in Lebo unfortunately so I used to frequent the area...

You should just save up and get some good drop springs/struts. I'm putting Mopar Performance lowering springs and Tokico HPs struts on in the spring.
