oil pressure gauge install

This is the place to ask questions about your engine components like cams, valves, pistons… just anything that is generally "engine" specific. This also includes questions about exhaust systems such as exhaust manifolds, piping size, mufflers, ect...

Post by c987long » Wed Nov 12, 2008 7:27 pm

after reading the HT (viewtopic.php?t=18545&highlight=oil+pressure+gauge), what is the best way to get to the factory sender. I was debating taking off the header.. My hands are a little bigger than the space.. looking for ideas

You can get to it by taking out the battery and/or battery tray. Taking out those should give you a hole to access the back of the motor. Here's a picture of my sender.

You should be able to get to the sender from the top with the battery and the battery tray removed. That's all I did with mine.

I hear ya. Not to be a dick, but it only gets worse. Getting it looked at now is the best advice I can give.
If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...
